"If we could give 10 stars we would. We needed to have an old driveway demolished and new pavement laid. We found George's Asphalt online through a vetting type of service when we were doing some research online about having a quality driveway put in. George's Asphalt came out and gave us their bid, so professionally. We hired them and they said job would take 3 days and they finished by noon on the 3rd day. The team works so well together and is so efficient. Our neighbors were so impressed that while they were working they asked for bids as well. If you are looking for an HONEST, RELIABLE, DEPENDABLE company for your asphalt needs, they also do concrete too, call George's Asphalt Paving. You won't be sorry and you will get top notch service and quality for a beautiful driveway or whatever your asphalt needs might be."

"Very much care to detail and neatness. All workers are top pro's in what they do to repairing cracks and holes and sealing for a final well put on product. Highly recommend them. A delight to watch them all work. In writing back I have cracks on almost very repair big and very small within next day. Also there is some that got on my edging of the walkway leading to front entrance door. They promise though they are very busy in the bay area,( although there was a prearrangement to look at it soon after but never came) They promised not to forget to do it over in cracks and to clean up when they are not so busy, but this was done in Nov. and a look would have verified that it cracked the day after. Its almost a year later and I'm Waiting for a do-over and cleanup on my edging next to home of home."

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

To maintain your asphalt driveway, add a new coat of sealant every three to five years. Pricing varies, but you will pay about $0.08 to $0.50 per square foot from start to finish. You can also choose to add a fill-and-seal layer that includes a layer of aggregate to fortify a damaged top layer of asphalt.

Regular cleaning, sealing, and timely repair of cracks help maintain its condition.

While blacktop is a type of asphalt, the terms should not be used interchangeably, as not all asphalt qualifies as blacktop. The primary differences are in their composition, production process, and ideal applications. Blacktop contains more stone than other types of asphalt and is heated to a higher temperature during production—300°F or more—while hot-mix asphalt is heated to between 275°F and 300°F. The ratio of bitumen (a tar-like crude oil) is a key differentiator, though sources vary: some state blacktop has less bitumen, making it less durable, while others claim it has a higher ratio. Due to these differences, asphalt is generally more durable and better for high-traffic areas like highways and streets, while blacktop is more suitable for playgrounds and residential driveways. For a driveway project, it is best to consult a professional to determine the most appropriate material.

Oil-based sealers generally offer longer results for driveways in cold climates. If you experience extreme temperatures, oil sealants offer a level of flexibility that makes them expand and contract along with the freeze-thaw cycle instead of cracking.

Regular sealing, crack filling, and professional inspections help extend pavement lifespan and prevent costly repairs.
