"Sarment tile is a family owned company. They are really professional and easy to work with. They correctly estimated the time of the project and kept the project area really clean. I would definitely hire them for future projects."

"The service went well. They were able to clean the parts of the home I needed cleaned within the 4 hour time frame. Two people came out for the service and brought their own cleaning supplies. The vacuum they did use did not clean the rugs very well. They did have to come out quite a way to get to me so I would not hire them again because of how much the travel fee would be. They did fine work and I had no problem scheduling the service."

"These guys are good! They can design a kitchen or you can show them what you want and they'll replicate it. These cabinets are built by hand from bases to doors. Not only do they build beautiful cabinets but they also fabricate countertops. These guys are a one-stop shop General Contractor and as a Contractor, we use them quite frequently."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Tiling can be DIY with the right tools and skills, but challenges like ensuring evenness and appropriate adhesion often warrant professional handling.

There are a few different tools you can use to score tiles. Manual tile cutters or tile scribes work well for scoring in straight lines. Tile nippers are one of the best options for scoring because they can make small and irregular cuts that larger tools may not be able to handle.

Professional installation ensures a uniform, durable surface, and proper sealing, and guarantees workmanship quality, preventing future issues linked to water damage or instability.

When choosing tiles for a shower floor, avoid highly porous tile materials, like those with a water absorption rating over 7%. Don’t use non-vitreous tiles, or tiles fired at low temperatures, because they will absorb more water. If you use a highly porous tile in the shower, the tiles can wear down faster, meaning they’ll need to be replaced much sooner.

Yes, you can tile a shower as a DIY project, and you can save hundreds of dollars in labor costs by doing so. However, you’ll need to rent or buy quite a few tools and supplies for the job, including a saw, tile nippers, and a new shower pan. In terms of the work itself, you should be prepared to tackle a variety of different tasks, including measuring and ordering materials, removing old tile, waterproofing the wall, adding rows of tile, grouting, and more.
