"Amaya Handyman, Felipe, is responsive, knowledgeable and very professional. In one visit, he handled a plumbing emergency, he installed holiday lights and trimmed bushes. We are also considering hiring him for an additional remodeling project."

"Armando, did an excellent job replacing the outdated fluorescent kitchen light fixtures, and replaced them with recessive energy efficient lighting. This included re-texturing the raised area as well as a finished coat of painting. Couldn?t be happier with the results!!!"

"I hired Gemini Construction after another contractor was incapable of completing the job to my satisfaction. Armondo responded promptly and began work shortly thereafter. He gave me a timeline and stuck to it. I had a vision of what I wanted my bathroom to look like and he brought it to life. He paid attention to details. I was surprised he was able to do the entire job by himself as the tiles were very large format and pretty heavy (48" H × 48" W x 0.5" D). I wanted the tile to be stacked and lined up a certain way and he accomplished that. I even wanted to add more tile when he was almost finished and he was very accommodating. Everything the first company I hired said they couldn't do, he could and did. He even had to fix things that they messed up and ended up saving me money. I would hire him again for any future renovations! I LOVE my new bathroom."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

It is possible to restore a filled-in pool. If you want to dig up and repair a filled-in pool in your backyard, the process will cost about the same as the cost of installing a new in-ground pool. You might do this if the filled-in pool is causing sinking, swelling, or drainage issues in your yard. A new pool may resolve these problems and increase your property value.

Endless pool may refer to one of two things. For some, it’s a term used interchangeably with infinity pool. Because infinity pools don’t have a visible edge, they look endless. For others, it’s a brand of jetted lap pool. Endless pools are engineered to fit in small spaces, but provide the benefits of a full-sized pool (think: aquatic exercise or hydrotherapy). You can even use them indoors, and they’re relatively budget-friendly because of their small size.

Yes, you can absolutely use a sand filter with a saltwater pool, but you’ll have to make sure you have the right grade of sand to catch smaller particles, just like in a standard pool. To choose the right pool filter, consider the degree of filtration you’ll need. Cartridge or diatomaceous earth filters can remove smaller particles, so they’re better suited for a less chlorinated saltwater pool.

You can check if your pool is bonded by looking for a copper wire that connects to the motor and pumps and then extends into the ground. However, if you’re unfamiliar with electrical wiring, contacting a pool electrician to inspect the motor and pumps is safest. An electrician can check the system and determine if it is up to code and meets all swimming pool bonding requirements.

The best way to kill off an algae bloom in an aboveground pool is to shock it with a large dose of chlorine. Shock typically kills off algae in about one to three days, although it can take longer if the pool water is in poor condition. After the shock treatment, add algaecide to prevent algae from growing back, and test the water every few days with test strips to ensure the pool’s pH doesn’t get out of whack.
