"Hutch was professional and personable , easy to talk to about my design for front yard. His experience in design suggested minor adjustment of my idea/drawings but willing to landscape any way of my preferences. His contract was thoroughly itemized and didn’t add any additional “surprise” costs. Payments were installments as project progressed. Hardworking Crew stayed on expected timeline. Hutch came by every day to supervise progress of our landscaping. Our front and backyards were transformed from weed fields into beautiful landscaping. Removed weeds and unwanted plants, prepped surface, laid weed barrier and installed Artificial turf in backyard, laid pavers and stone walkway. Transformed front yard into rock riverbed surrounded by plants accented with boulders, and installing drip system. Planted border shrubs and a rose garden. Lined walkway and rose garden with pavers matching our flagstone. Our sewer line needed realignment which Hutch arranged to be repaired. Other company estimate quotes were either vague, didn’t itemize, or way over priced. Offered a few addresses for us to drive by to see his actual work which helped us on our decision to work with Hye Turf Design. I would highly recommend Hye Turf Designs. Thanks Hutch !"

"Based on the positive reviews of Green Republic on Yelp and Angie's List and our initial interactions with Motti we were excited to have them landscape our front and back yard. Unfortunately, our experience was not as positive as others. The positives were: (1) that the pricing was fair and the bulk of the work was completed very efficiently. The negatives were: (1) despite telling us the work would be done by Green Republic employees all of the work was done by subcontractors with no supervision from Green Republic, (2) though most of the work was done very efficiently the last 10% dragged on for months with lots of promises that it would be finished by a certain date only to be notified of further delays at the last minute (definitely don't pay these guys until the work is complete), and (3) though we were told all the work and plants were warranted when we had issues they didn't warrant their work. Without any supervision the subcontractors did subpar work. A few examples of this were: 1) We picked out pavers and we asked them not to set them until we saw them to confirm they were the correct pavers. Instead we walked out one day to see that they were setting pavers and they were the wrong ones. They told us these were better more expensive pavers which may have been true, but they were the wrong style, so it didn't matter. We asked that they get the pavers we asked for which the subcontractor was not happy about and begrudingly did. 2) The old plants and roots were not properly removed, so within a month we had the old plants growing back through the ground cover and wood chips. 3) Drip lines were installed, but no one bothered to check if the spouts were open or if all the plants actually were receiving water and a new sprinkler controller was installed and never programmed or turned on for two weeks. Rather than provide the instructions to us they threw them out or we would have done it ourselves. 4) They installed decomposed granite, but in one area it was so thin that the first time it rained, the DG was washed away and the soil was exposed. In addition to these issues, they didn't set the pavers in a straight line, we had several plants die, and the sod that was installed developed dead spots within two weeks. We were left to deal with disgruntled sub contractors, Green republic pushed back on all warranty issues providing excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't their problem (even for dead plants that most nurseries would warrant and happily replace). For us Motti and Green Republic were a major headache. We are very disappointed particularly given all the other positive reviews."

"Do not be fooled by the positive reviews. It’s evident they are paying for reviews or having their buddies create fake ones. We had a lackluster experience with Haven Hub. I’m giving them two stars bc the job eventually got done, but I wouldn’t recommend them. Poor communication, project manager changes with no notice, and unprofessionalism made the process frustrating. (I have an endless list of things that went wrong but only 1000 words.) Contractors tried to upsell us under the table for work already in our contract, and the concrete wasn’t poured to spec. Crews didn’t show up for weeks; they left a dirt pile that got us warning from the city. Sprinklers in the park strip were initially promised by the salesman, then left out of his poor drawing. Even when we scheduled a final wrap-up date, they didn’t show. The park strip was never finished, despite many promises to do so. We signed March 5 and didn’t finish until May 29 — nearly three months when it should’ve taken weeks"

"We hired Pacific Outdoor Living to relandscape our backyard, installing all new stone, turf, pool coping and reshaping the whole space. Khalil was an outstanding project manager - always communicating what was going to get done by when and they moved very quickly. Khalil was not going to be happy unless we were thrilled and he delivered! Khalil also had to contend with a simultaneous project that we had going on in the same space of an ADU renovation - and he was very accommodating and communicative during the process to help it all go smoothly. The guys doing the masonry work were fantastic - taking the care to do perfect work on a project that required laying a lot of stone tile on the patio and around the pool. Our backyard is beautiful now and I would highly recommend Pacific Outdoor Living to anyone needing landscape work of any size."
