"We just wrapped up a full bathroom remodel with D2A Construction and I'm beyond thrilled with how everything turned out. From the very first consultation, Dani was straightforward, attentive, and genuinely listened to what we were hoping to achieve. Our bathroom was old, cramped, and honestly kind of embarrassing. Now it feels like a luxury spa — seriously! Dani's crew was polite, professional, and always cleaned up at the end of each day (which I hugely appreciated since we have little ones at home). The tile work is flawless, the new shower layout is so much more functional, and the modern design they suggested works beautifully in our space. There were a couple of small hiccups (as expected with any construction), but Dani handled them quickly and kept everything on schedule. We never felt in the dark. Can’t recommend D2A enough. It’s rare to find a contractor who communicates well and actually delivers what was promised!"

"BEWARE OF COASTAL KITCHENS & BATHS! This review is for a complete remodel of our master bathroom that occurred in early 2024. This business has no BBB rating. This business has no employees. This business has no presence on Houzz, Angi.com, Home Advisor, Yelp or any place else online and no website. Everyone who works for John Bailey is a sub-contractor. His subs vary widely in quality. Some are good and some are not. His idiot painter tracked white paint all over our master bedroom carpet. When I complained to John about that he responded that we were going to replace the carpet anyway and so what! His sub-contractors had to access the bathroom by going through our master bedroom. THEY DIDN'T EVEN PUT DOWN DROP CLOTHs. When I complained to John about that he had them put down tarps that were so filthy that it made our floors even worse than before. When it came time to install the vanity countertop the supplier (Best Cheer Stone) delivered the wrong countertop and John didn't even notice! My wife caught the mistake. John pressured us into accepting the mistake by telling us there would be a 2-3 week delay in the project if we insisted on returning the countertop. He did get us a discount from the supplier but it’s still the wrong countertop. Recently I noticed that one of the bathroom floor tiles had cracked only 10 months after installation so I called John to see if he would replace it. He told me he would talk to his tile guy and get back to me. A week later still no response so I called him back. He clearly did not want to accept responsibility and told me that replacing the tile might damage other tiles. This is nonsense because I have had 3 tile contractors look at the job and none of them said anything about that. When I tried to get John to accept responsibility for the cracked tile he got mad and hung up on me! BEWARE OF COASTAL KITCHENS & BATHS! John Bailey is super sketchy and will blow smoke at you all day long to get your money. He does not guarantee the work and will leave you with a $600 extra charge for tile replacement. I have other complaints too but in the interest of brevity I will stop here."

"I love this crew. Nick, Jake and a rotating cast of experts remodeled my bathroom, attic and did other smaller projects in my house. I work from home, so rapport and trust, while always important, were imperative to such a long scope. The kitchen turned out so well, we felt like we had a thought partner and someone who could think outside of the typical contractor box. It's opened our home up so much and was worth every penny and every extra day."

"We are very pleased with our whole house remodel performed by our contractor, Rick Simmons of Coastline Construction. We received four bids from various contractors which were all competitive. We chose Rick for various reasons including that he was easy to communicate with and that he uses his own very skilled employees, no subcontractors. We completely remodeled the kitchen, the main and secondary bathroom, laundry room and installed new flooring throughout that required grinding and leveling the concrete slab. Every wall and ceiling was retextured and painted. It was a HUGE job. Rick is a hands-on contractor who stopped by the house 3-4 times a week (sometimes everyday!). Rick kept us up to date on scheduling and every addition we made to the scope of work was clearly documented in change orders that we discussed with him. We had a good idea of what we wanted design-wise and the end result reflects that vision."

"We hired GWC (Gary Ward Contractor) to remodel our beachside efficiency condo in Long Beach, CA, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Gary completely transformed our compact space—gutting everything but the bathroom—and brought our vision to life with precision and craftsmanship. Working with our designer and architect, Gary opened up the main living area and installed a stunning, multifunctional Murphy bed system from Resource Furniture (Italy). It doubles as a desk and TV station by day and converts to a bed at night. To offset the loss of closet space, he built a gorgeous custom wardrobe with drawers, plus a built-in refrigerator that blends seamlessly into the cabinetry. He also handcrafted all the kitchen cabinets, installed quartzite countertops, a designer backsplash, new sink and faucet, and repainted the entire unit with great attention to detail. Gary’s work was impeccable—every line aligned, every feature functional. He navigated the complexities of working in a historic 1927 building with experience and care. We always felt he was committed to getting it right. We’d gladly hire GWC again and recommend him without hesitation.
