Rain Forest came highly recommended. After lots of vetting and research we decided they were the landscaping company to take our front and back yard to the next level. We were not disappointed!! Yosi, came up with the most beautiful designs, clearly communicated everything and listened to what we needed. We now are now spending most our time in the front and back. We are so happy we would highly recommend them to anyone interested!!

It was good quality works and they did a really nice job. They were a little bit expensive but it was worth it for the result.

Yosef and his team installed a new gate. Their quote was in line with two others we received, they were punctual and did an excellent job. I would recommend this company to everyone.

Yosi was very professional, responsive and prices were very good. The project started and completed on time, most of the plants I wanted were available at the nursery he used. I had a couple plants die which he came back and replaced with no problem per his warranty. Only one small issue I had with some grass growing back, which I ended up taking care of myself. But overall experience was great and I would highly recommend this company.

We could not be more pleased with Rainforest LA. Yosi was super responsive by text and an absolute professional every step of the way. He came and gave an estimate, accompanied us to the nursery to pick out plants and got the job done earlier than expected. He even squeezed us in early since we were planning a party and wanted to have the job done before then. The yard looks beautiful. Workers were friendly, hard working and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Yosi and his team!

Wonderful. Yosi was absolutely professional and great to work with. He responded immediately to my inquiry and was even able to get our job done earlier than expected when I let him know we were having a party this month. We went to the nursery with him and picked out the plants we wanted and it looks gorgeous. We have even had people drive by and take pictures of the landscaping and lots of compliments and it hasn't even filled out like it eventually will yet. The team was very polite and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend Yosi and his team.

I received a detailed estimate for thousands for work that I did not need and could not afford, and we finally settled on $1,400 (in addition to the $299 already paid), for the cleanup and path. I was told that 'a small space' would be left between flagstones. (Small space - to me - sounds like maybe up to a half inch). To my horror, when I arrived home, the workers had only used a small portion of my flagstones, leaving a foot between stones, filled in with an ugly sand and gravel mixture. After time passed, the sandy mix blew around and the flagstones are now raised above the ugly sandy mix. I guess I should have taken the day off work to supervise! I am really unhappy with the overpriced work, and am trying to figure out how to fix my path, short of tearing it out.

The owner Yosi and his crew were professional, courteous, fairly priced, and very efficient. Each day the job site was left clean and an update was provided about what was completed and what would be happening the following day. From demolition to finishing touches, the job was completed in 8 days, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality job at a fair price with outstanding results.

All went fine. They did a great job.  Beyond the coupon purchased, they offered to take it to the dump for $300.  Taking that to the dump would have been $50.  A bit of markup for profit is fine, but that was too much.  I opted not no.

Had to make sure they took the hardscape and debris they were supposed to--they tried to hide some things behind the pool house rather than taking them.  There were a lot of list and reminders necessary, or things got forgotten about or not done.  But after planting was done it looked originally pretty good, work was final on Easter weekend.
Within a week we realized irrigation was insufficient, which they came by to "fix" but didn't resolve anything.  Those plants died pretty soon.  Part of the DG was washed away and in our street instead of where it should be.
Lots of plants started dying, and Yossi came by after many many many calls and texts, and agreed they needed to be replaced.  It's been over 4 months now, he's not replaced any plants and I can no longer reach him.
Lighting started dying and flickering within three months, and Yossi said the light bulbs just needed to be replaced and he'd take care of it.  That was several months ago.  The lights still flicker and there are short circuits, several lights don't work at all.  I would not recommend letting them put in lighting as they don't use an electrician and have no way to make sure things are safe and properly done.
Yossi demanded payment in full the last date of the project.  We should not have paid him then, and recommend if you do use him waiting 3-4 months at least to make sure he returns to follow up on things.  We were sad, as we had at least two other projects we were going to use Yossi for, but now cannot.

This was a big deal purchase. It went okay. We did not move forward. It kind of felt a little disappointing. After the deal he delivered pictures and it was almost comically funny. He took a few pictures of stone and then just kind of cut and pasted random pictures of  plants on top of that. It did not really give us a clear picture of what we were looking for. And then he gave us a quote for, like, $17,000 and so I told him thanks for his time.  He was timely and certainly friendly. It really felt like he came out and charged us to just give us an estimate. To get a better grade from me he could have delivered clearer pictures and a better understanding of the vision he would have been designing.

We are extremely happy; the team finished on budget and ahead of schedule. I highly recommend this company.
I had 3 landscape companies quote out my project: one top-of-the-line design group and two more 'regular' contractors, of which Rainforest LA was one. Yosi of Rainforest LA was the most prompt, with a proposal the very same day, the most reasonably priced, and overall had the greatest air of ease to work with (quick to understand what was needed, provide options, make it happen, end up on budget and on time).
After signing, the project was estimated to take 2 weeks, but in fact it was completed 100% on budget and per the specifications in a week and a half. The team was there promptly at 7:30 every day and worked hard, non-stop the entire time they were on site. Yosi came to coordinate with us and supervise the team / assess the progress every single day.
The materials that he chooses (e.g., outdoor lighting, irrigation, wood) are high-end; he does not cut corners here. The plants and organic material (e.g., mulch) that he uses are strictly organic, which I also appreciate.

When we ran low of some existing gravel we were reusing in the new design, he threw in some material for free to complete the look. He even came to visit a week after the work was completed to make sure everything was still as it should be and that we were happy.

This is a company and person I highly recommend. They are pros, fast, experienced, reliable, and priced fairly.
Full context: we were pretty decided on what needed to happen where and thus used the company mostly as an executor, not too much as a designer. I know this is a capability they have as well, and clearly they have a LOT of experience in all things from hardscape and construction to custom design and planting, but our project was predominantly executing (which they did excellently).

The good:  Yossi's crew was efficient, professional and good at the hardscape; concrete cutting, drip sprinkler lines & timers, electrical lines and lights.  As a contractor, I expected him to be conversant with the needs and restrictions for the rebate program.  He wasn't.  I learned quickly and did what needed to be done on my own, and  did get the incentive from the state and city fund. He called himself a designer.  He ain't. When I asked for the names of several plants to include on my permit application, he said, "the name is succulent."  That says it all about his knowledge of plants and landscape design. This was more than a year ago, and perhaps he has learned how to get the rebate, now that there is no more money left in the fund. Maybe he even knows the names of some of the plants now.   It took me this long to write this because all he seemed concerned with was getting a review (hopefully, good) which I could not do, since he did not listen to what we asked for; pleaded for and wanted very much.  For him to acknowledge that we knew what we wanted and for him to visit the several other installations - or at least look at the photos!!! - so he could see the look and feel we were after.  He insisted he didn't have to (and d*** well didn't!) and although the result is ok - for the money it should have been GREAT.  We tweaked it with additional rocks and plants, but it still feels - well, undesigned. Which it is/was.  A thought for providers:  Reviews cannot take the place of actual quality work.  Listening to what the customers, who are paying good $$ to get that service is an important aspect of getting a good review.  Spend more time doing the job and listening to customers and the good reviews will practically write themselves.

Yosi was always on time to every scheduled meeting we had.  He is very friendly and put us at ease.  He gave good advice and paid attention to the details of the project.  He really helped with picking plants out and had good ideas of where to plant them.  His crew was always at the house at least by 8 am and immediately got to work.  Everyone was very professional.
The demo took about one day.  Yosi worked with us and our neighbor and delayed the back fence work so it was convenient for our neighbor.  He also took down and rebuild the fence in one day which was a huge help.  I met Yosi at the nursery to pick out plants and he really made the process go much smoother.  The whole process was actually very smooth and simple.  The steps they build in the back are very strong and look good.  The gate is well balanced and very functional.  The raised planter box is actually much nicer that I expected.  They left the job clean and neat.  Overall it was a very good experience and our yard looks great!  We would hire Yosi again.

So I used one of Angies List deals and this is the second time the value of the services that were provided didn't seem like a deal. I honestly don't think it is the contractor that provides the services but the AL marketing team.
So within 24 hours of buying the said "deal" Yosi contacted me immediately to set up an appointment to see what landscaping I needed done.
He was on time for the appointment and we went over the what I wanted done to some DIY landscaping that I did but eventually turned into a jungle. The next day Yosi sent me the quote and a listing of plants with pictures. So after issues with scheduling on my side since I needed Rainforest to work on the Friday I was at home, two months later I was finally able to get this service sceduled.
Yosi and his crew showed up on time, right before 8AM and he said in an hour he would have all of the plants set up and where they would be planted. His 4 workers demoed the whole strip in about an hour and Yosi had all of the plants setup. He walked us through the care of each plant and luckily I picked a number of succulents. We took off for a few hours and when we came back everything was planted and the crew was working on installing the drip system.
After Yosi left to drop off the dirt and old shrubs he returned with a bunch of mulch, that they used to cover the ground and drip system. He also planted ground cover that would eventually take over the mulch. After everything was done Yosi helped reprogram the sprinkler system. Hi crew cleaned up and it looked like there were no workers there at all.
All in all Rainforest Inc did an awesome job but once again I did not the $399 for two landscapers for a day on Angies list not really a deal since I think in the end I would have ending up paying that much anyway.

It went very well.  I'd first purchased 24 hours of work for $799, but decided to go with the full installation of plants and irrigation system.  I really wanted to choose the plants and Yosi set up a meeting with me at their nursery in Reseda.  I was concerned that they might not have the sort of plants I was looking for, but the selection was quite extensive.  The day of the work went very smoothly.  Yosi showed up to get things going and later on came back to work with me on the placement of the plants.  He explained the drip irrigation very clearly.  The guys who did the job were very friendly and hard-working.  The yard looks great!
