"They delivered exactly as promised. Our original cabinets were solid but very outdated. After attempting, and failing, to refinish them ourselves we turned to cabinet refresh. The whole process took only 3 days and we ended up with what feels like brand new cabinets. Not only is the paint finish great, but they added some modern touches like new soft-close drawer boxes, self-close door hinges, and organizational pullouts. The workers showed up on time and were very efficient. Overall we were very happy with the results."

"I received 3 different bids for installing a large closet in our hallway. We liked Albert Goldin’s design the best and chose him. He was timely, and the closet is beautiful—pull out shelves, lovely wood. Very happy with the result."

Customers say: True professional

"Ulisses was professional, friendly and answered all my questions before the work started. I had old cabinets and he did a good job fixing it and touching them up. Despite the late afternoon start, he didn't rush it and stayed until he felt it was done right."

"I couldn't be happier with Misson Concepts' work. Jerry was punctual about appointments, listened carefully to what we wanted, and coordinated a smooth, stress-free installation. Mission Concepts built us a beautiful bookcase to match an existing one - they perfectly matched the ceiling molding, base molding, and shelf trim. The crew was painstakingly careful with the installation and the result is that the bookcase looks like it's always been there. The work was so outstanding, we just worked with them to build and install another bookcase! I recommend them without any reservations. They are the greatest!v Would choose them again in a heartbeat."

"We were new to the area and had many quotes for custom built in shelving around our fireplace. After only meeting James for a few minutes I knew he was the one! When he quoted me a price, I knew his attention to detail would be worth every penny, on top of that his price was well worth the value. He took took great care of us and did an AMAZING job. I often walk into the living room just to admire them. :)"

Closets questions, answered by experts

You can turn an adjacent room into a walking closet by just rearranging the room. This means removing the furniture and adding racks and an island in the center if you have that in your budget. Houses with two bedrooms connected to each other are great options for large walk-in closets that don't require any structural changes or much building whatsoever.

The differences between a built-in closet and a walk-in aren’t that different from a built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s fairly simple—a walk-in closet is a closet you can physically enter, stand in, and walk around in. A built-in (whether wardrobe or closet) is more akin to covered shelves installed into a recess in the wall. Another big difference is walk-in closets almost always have traditional full-size doors, while built-ins either have no doors or use sliding doors.

The time it takes to build a closet varies widely depending on the project's size, complexity, and level of customization. On average, construction can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks.

A simple reach-in closet might be completed in less than a day, while a more complex walk-in closet could take one to two days or more. A typical project often falls in the 2-to-5-day range. However, a large, highly customized walk-in closet that requires structural changes, like moving a load-bearing wall, will take significantly longer.

A professional contractor can provide the most accurate time estimate for your specific project. If you are planning a DIY build, it is best to budget additional time.

Since they are so fragile, it is not usually recommended to stack anything on top of your packed lamps. If you have sturdy boxes, and what you plan to put on top of them is of a similar weight, it’s okay to stack.

A foyer or entryway is typically a formal landing area for guests, located at the primary entrance of a home. It is often more formally decorated and connects directly to the main living space. In contrast, a mudroom is a more casual, utilitarian room, usually leading in from a secondary entrance like a garage or the side or rear of the house. It serves as a space for residents to remove shoes and outerwear to keep mud, dirt, and water out of the main home.
