"They were hardworking, and no damage was on my things. they cleaned up well, and they were very nice. They sweep my old apartment well and very professional. I have recommended them to my friends. They speak English and Spanish very well, I enjoyed talking to them about the work. Very affordable pricing. "It went very well. I’m incapacitated with a broken ankle. My husband has tried to keep up with the housework. Unfortunately he’s not aware of all the things this requires. After three months of being patient, I needed help. Plus it was past time for much of the work. Lido and Gina were professional and efficient. On time and worked nonstop. In 45 years of housekeeping, this was my first time hiring a professional cleaning service. I’m pretty particular with my home. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I have beautiful wood floors that I’m really, really particular about. Lido and Gina heard my concern and took special care. I’ll definitely refer them and plan to have them again. Hopefully with a less in need house. What a relief to have a clean home."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Installing a fireplace insert can get you more heat without replacing the whole fireplace and chimney. Other benefits include their convenience (you can turn them on and off with a simple flip of a switch), safety (most models have built-in sensors that will turn off the fireplace if they detect carbon monoxide), a modern aesthetic, and superior energy efficiency.

You can let a fire burn out in a fireplace as long as you or someone else will stick around to monitor it until it goes completely out. This may take several hours. To prepare, stop adding fuel to the fire well before you’re ready to call it a night. If you’re using the fireplace for warmth, you’ll want to cover up in some blankets as the flame dies down.

You should not use Windex or any other ammonia-based glass cleaners when cleaning the glass doors or glass front panel of a gas fireplace. Instead, remove the glass and lay it on a soft surface, like a drop cloth or towel. Then clean it using a specialty fireplace glass cleaner purchased at a hardware store or online. If the glass is relatively clean, you can get away with a vinegar and water solution, but tougher stains will require a specialized cleaner.

A fireplace is, by definition, an enclosed space where you burn wood or other fuel for the purpose of generating light and heat. A firepit burns wood and is much less expensive to build, but they aren’t technically a fireplace as it isn’t enclosed. An outdoor oven—commonly outdoor brick pizza ovens—often uses wood as fuel, but its primary purpose is to cook food, and you’d rarely just burn wood inside them for warmth or aesthetic reasons.

Yes, you can close off a fireplace both temporarily and permanently with extremely wide price ranges. Temporary solutions involve fireplace plugs that can be inflated to block air and deflated to open the fireplace, covers, and boards. Permanent methods of shutting off fireplaces usually involve bricking up the fireplace or covering it with drywall. No matter the method, it’s probably best to hire a professional.
