"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

SBeJBe (pronounced, Ess-Bee-Jay-Bee), is a maintenance and home repair small business started by two individuals who love what they do. We have been in the business around 12-15 years and out of those years working as a team for nearly 8. \n\nOur training has been a combination of apprenticeship with a couple of the best general contractors in our area, working for these G.C's and learning while on the job, also some less extreme areas, being self taught. \n\nWe specialize in a multitude of areas. These including; all areas of home repair, installation, cleaning, organizing, lawn maintenance, landscaping, waste disposal, painting (both exterior and interior), demolition, tile laying and replacement, concrete/cement repair and laying, intermediate electrical work, deck laying and repair, (both concrete and lumber decks), appliance installation, designing, constructing and installing exterior shutters, intermediate plumbing, window replacement, gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning, window cleaning, retaining walls and fences, moving, personal assistant duties, computer help, certified dog sitter, and much much more. If you need it done, and we haven't listed it, there is a high probability we can do it. \n\nNo job is too big nor is any job too small. We individually or together, and when necessary with a team of trusted professionals we employ can get whatever job you need done. We work quickly, yet efficiently. We do not let down our clients and wouldn't expect our clients to receive nothing less than the best work possible.

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

There are more pros than cons when staining a deck. Deck stain is more affordable than paint, it protects the wood and allows the natural textures to shine through, and it can revive the appearance of your home. However, deck stain also requires prep work (sometimes days or more), carries more upkeep than a painted deck, and can fade over time if not cared for.

You should refinish your deck to maintain its appearance, durability, and longevity. Refinishing your deck protects the wood from foot traffic and the elements. It also helps extend its life span by keeping rot, mildew, and termites at bay. By maintaining your deck, you can avoid the cost of replacing your deck sooner. A refinished deck also looks great and restores some of its original beauty.

The life expectancy of deck boards varies widely based on the material, climate, and maintenance. Untreated wood boards typically last 10 to 30 years with proper care, while pressure-treated boards can last up to 50 years. Hardwoods generally outlast softwoods. Composite boards also tend to last longer than natural wood. Environmental factors like arid or humid climates can shorten a deck's lifespan. To extend the life of wood decking, it's important to consistently clean and seal it to protect against moisture, UV light, and insects.

Whether composite decking is better than wood depends on your priorities, especially regarding budget and maintenance. Composite decking offers superior longevity (30 to 50 years) and durability, and it is low-maintenance, requiring no sanding, staining, or sealing. In contrast, wood decks typically last 10 to 30 years and need refinishing every few years. While the upfront cost of composite is higher than wood, the reduced maintenance can lead to long-term savings. If a lower initial cost is the primary factor, wood is the more affordable choice.

Both a well-constructed deck and a patio can add value to your home. Patios are generally cheaper to build but don’t offer the same aesthetics as a quality deck. Therefore, decks can be more appealing to buyers than patios, increasing a home's resale value.
