Mr. Dove didn't do the work. It was two of his employees or subcontractors. The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good. The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious. Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked. When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it. I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.
"City Lights Electric did a great job. This was a bit more involved than a basic fan install since there was no previously existing wiring in the ceiling. I did have to do a little finish work after the job was done. I had to finish patching a few holes that they needed to make in order to run the new wiring. They did do an initial coat to plug holes but definitely not a finish coat. No surprise though as I figured I'd have to do some of that anyway. They cleaned up the work site perfectly when done. They were on time, professional, and very friendly. I believe their pricing is in line with other companies. I will definitely call them anytime I have the need for an electrician. "I had thought I purchase two hours of electrical service only to be informed that the actual work scope was essentially limited to changing light bulbs, fixtures on an existing circuit, or trouble shooting an existing problem....things that I can handle for the most part on my own. Even if I had all the materials to add a fixture onto an existing circuit, that was not considered part of the contracted scope. I also had been trying to arrange for someone to be home during period of time that service could be performed, and finally arranged for someone for an entire week (starting Monday 3/20) to permit the work to occur. The ADI scheduler informed me that all next week was taken."

But then, once they got the ball rolling, it went very quickly. It took them probably about a month to even get back to me. The price was very good. Once somebody actually did speak with me, they were very responsive. They were pretty professional when I spoke to them. I just think that they were light on manpower."
