"Marcus and his companion or co worker are patient, kind and highly professional. I am able to have him come in an emergency quickly and punctually and on time overnight. I would recommend their services to residents as well as commercial installations because of equipment's, knowledge and ability. He knows how to do all plumbing and understand the water quality in this county. Anyone needing plumbing help and potable drinking water anywhere in Santa Cruz county can depend on their services."

"This company was a refreshing change from the high pressure salesmen who never visit your house and demand a deposit before they even do a survey.    The Poco salesman, Vern, came to our house and was the ONLY person (of 15 quotes) who actually went up on our roof to do a survey.   There were no high pressure sales pitches, just good old honest and comprehensive advice.
Furthermore, we were having our roof replaced immediately prior to the installation of the solar panels.  None of the other providers were willing to work with our roofer but Poco suggested that they install the mounts on the roof before the tiles were laid without being prompted.  They were happy to work with our roofers and then to come back and do the solar installation once our roof was complete.
The installation went very well, they came when they said they would and the standard of work was excellent.   Their work was neat and tidy and they were only too willing to answer my numerous questions.
The only downside of this company is that the office is rather disorganised.   Phone calls to the office disappeared into a big black hole.  My advice is to get the cell number of your installer and work directly with him.   They are also very responsive to Emails.
It is now 2 years on and my electricity bill for usage has gone from $250 per month to an average of $10.  We have had no issues with the system.

"Drew from Legacy Plumbing came out IMMEDIATELY to our rescue because not only were all toilets and showers unusable because water would flood downstairs but we had a birthday get-together with family happening within the hour. Drew was very knowledgeable and quickly fixed our clog and we needed a replacement part for an obvious leak. Legacy Plumbing is super honest, and you don't feel like you're getting ripped off with unnecessary b.s.. This is the second time we've called and because of the great job he did on our last major issue with our old pipes, we called him again. The cleanliness, effeciency, and honesty of this company is why I felt compelled to rave about them and let people know in a review. Definitely my plumber and business to recommend from here on out."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

The life span of a water pump ranges from five to 15 years on average. Regular maintenance can extend its life. If you notice significant drops in performance, strange noises, or frequent malfunctions, consider a water pump or well pump replacement. Always get in touch with a professional if you're concerned about yCan I install a water pump myself?our pump's condition.

The difference between an ejector pump and a sump pump lies in their purpose and design—an ejector pump functions to remove liquid gray water and soft solid sewage waste from your home. If you have a laundry room or bathroom in your basement, an ejector pump for your sewage tank prevents sewage from backing up in your washing machine or bathroom’s drains.

A sump pump is designed to remove excess groundwater that may enter your home, either due to flooding or periods of heavy rain.

A sump pump's lifespan is typically 7 to 10 years, though the general range can be anywhere from 5 to 15 years. The specific type of pump is a major factor: pedestal sump pumps last an average of 20 to 25 years, whereas submersible sump pumps last between 5 and 15 years. While pedestal pumps are less expensive to service, they are also louder and more prone to clogging.

Several other factors influence longevity, including the pump's quality, usage frequency, and maintenance schedule. A high-quality pump that is well-maintained in a dry climate may last for two decades, while a lower-quality, poorly maintained pump in an area with a high water table or frequent flooding may fail in six years or less.

Regular maintenance, including annual inspections and tuneups from a professional, can significantly extend the pump's life. It is time to consider a replacement if your sump pump runs constantly, cycles frequently, shows visible rust or corrosion, or trips a circuit breaker. As a preventative measure, many homeowners replace their pumps every eight years. It's also worth noting that a manufacturer's warranty can indicate expected lifespan, and some home insurance policies may not cover water damage from a pump that is past its recommended replacement date.

Sump pumps remove excess water from the lowest point of your home, which prevents flooding. When a sump pit fills with water, a sump pump pushes that water outside of the basin and into an exterior discharge pipe. From there, the water flows away from your home, so it doesn’t damage your foundation.

Costs range from $300 to $1,200, depending on the pump type, issue, and installation complexity.
