"We have a big yard that was in need of a good clean up. It took a couple of visits to get it under control and he has been able to do a stellar job since. He has done medium pruning and knows a good deal about the plants in our yard. He was highly recommended and he gave us a very competitive quote. I think you will find his services to be very good.....We did and are very pleased."
"I spent $190 on that work. They were efficient in terms of the e-mails and estimate. The price was reasonable and the quality was of the workmanship was good. The customer service guy was very pleasant when he came to do the site inspection prior to giving the estimate. He answered all my questions during the walk through and provided good customer service. The work was performed to my satisfaction and I probably will use them again. In terms of the work was the price was excellent."
"The approximate cost was $1300. The guys were nice. But the paint job isn't holding up that well. From the wall were my alarm is when the wall gets touch the paint is coming off. I don't think they did do a primer. It's not holding up I can see were it needs to be touched up in hallway and the laundry room where they painted and same in the kitchen. They were kind of in a hurry so they didn't spend time on prep. That's the kind of comment I will make to future customer. It looks good but they don't do a lot of prep. There were areas that have to be touched up. It's not even a full year yet. They kind of want to get in and out. Initially he came in with a price. He verbally gave me quotes for each room and because I am a female. He went outside to his truck to come back with the final bill and it was 3 times than what he said for each room. I say to him I guess I have to give you a not so great review on Angie's List because the quote and the integrity of all that is part of why I use Angie's List. When I said that he called me back and said oh I'm so sorry I don't know what I was thinking. That wasn't the quote I wanted to give you. I am like oh my god if I hadn't said that this guy will be taking me to the cleaners. They were on time. They were professional."
"I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Mr. Jones. His crew did the best job anyone has ever done painting the front of my house, using quality materials and painstakingly careful techniques. His attention to preparation is immaculate-- they pressure- washed CAREFULLY (really important with old houses and multiple layers of paint!), and then scraped and sanded with a thoroughness that astonished me. Not only does the house look better than it ever has, but I am confident that this job will last. But even if there is some little glitch, I truly do believe that Mr. Jones is a man of his word, and he will return to fix it. I believe this because of his insistence on sticking with his original estimate, even when the job proved more complicated than he had first thought. I also believe it because he did everything he said he would, until i was satisfied. His crew is thoroughly professional, polite and efficient. They cleaned up thoroughly every day. We had to deal with weather delays, as well as the fact that I was getting this done at the busiest season of the year for exterior painters-- the fall. But despite these issues, and having to deal with the installation of replacement windows by a company that damaged the brand new paint job he had just comlpleted, Mr. Jones remained calm, courteous, amazingly good-natured, and always returned calls, letting me know at every step what was going to happen next.I hope to use Mr. Jones' services in the future. I unhesitatingly recommend him to you."
Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts
Seal joints, clean debris regularly, and address cracks promptly to maintain appearance and stability.
Most projects take 1-3 days, depending on the surface area and complexity.
There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.
If you’re DIYing the project, it could take up to a week if you aren’t able to dedicate full-time hours. If you hire a professional and they arrive with a team, expect your stairs to be sanded in as little as 2 hours (for simple projects). Finishing the stairs takes a while longer as there are drying and sealing times to consider, but the actual work will take much less time than the sanding portion.
Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.
