Deer rely on scent to tell them what’s safe and unsafe, so effective deer repellents have to be pungent. Make your own natural repellent by combining a beaten egg, one tablespoon of cooking oil, one tablespoon of dish soap, and a half cup of milk. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray around your garden, avoiding anything you will want to eat later. This stinky repellent will ward off any deer that want to make your produce their next meal. But keep in mind that if your windows are nearby, the scent may waft over.

Squirrels have a strong sense of smell and can be deterred by various scents they dislike. Effective options include peppermint oil, rosemary, garlic, cinnamon, white vinegar, coffee grounds, and predator urine. Squirrels also have a strong aversion to capsaicin, the compound that makes chili peppers hot, making capsaicin-based repellents a good choice for protecting specific areas like gardens or bird feeders. For a DIY solution, you can create a garlic and vinegar spray and apply it daily. Additionally, placing strong-smelling items like certain soaps or dryer sheets near where squirrels frequent can also be effective.

Squirrels follow a diurnal routine like humans, remaining quiet at night because they sleep. Homeowners concerned about squirrels in their homes are more likely to hear these critters in the early morning when they awaken, eager to start their day and search for sustenance. As the sun sets, squirrels wrap up their daily endeavors and return to their cozy nests for the night's rest.

Consider making some noise if you're looking for a straightforward way to put a damper on excessive frog croaking. You don't need to orchestrate a symphony—simple actions like stomping or clapping with gusto can work wonders. You can also try blasting music, but that won't help you make friends with your neighbors. A simpler solution might be learning to live with it. You can try soundproofing your bedroom with heavy-duty noise-reducing curtains.
