The arborist looked at my avocado and said it was healthy. The next day the trimming crew came and cut a few dead branches off of two trees but cut far more off the avocado than I expected. I had a $500 coupon but they didn't give any discount. $750 for two hours work.

They were great. There was a five man crew to handle the job. They were on time and very reasonably priced for their services. This was a tough job as they had to drag all the pieces through the house (no back yard access from the side). They were very clean. The only issue was that they didn't bring any plastic sheeting to protect the floors, luckily I had some, so even though it was a messy job you wouldn't be able to tell anything had happened.
