"Counters look good, however, there was a HUGE mess. Tons of old counter top in every one my drawers and in all of the cabinets. Basically no clean up, no attempt to. In addition, they got glue in the window track and the window couldn't open. I called multiple times to have this fixed weeks apart. I did get an apology for them forgetting to come out after the first call. However, a huge mess was made getting the glue off the window seal and not cleaned up even a little bit. Rude...acted like we were inconveniencing them. Never apologized. The counters look great but customer service definitely left a sour taste."

"We hired Abella Tile Stone in Feb 2022 to remodel 3 full bathrooms starting in the 2nd week of May. ATS' cost estimate for the job was very reasonable and after meeting the owner Fernando a couple of times we felt he would do a good job. Fernando and his team arrived on the agreed start date and completed everything in exactly 4 weeks. Fernando would almost come every day and give updates on what was done and tell us the plans for the next 2 days. He and his team were very patient and worked hard to accomplish what we wanted. My wife was picky and she wanted certain tiles in certain locations on the floors and walls. They, exactly installed the tiles the way she wanted. The workmanship and quality of the work were excellent. The clean-up was very thorough. We were very pleased that we selected ATS for our project, and we plan to use them for more projects in our house. We have already recommended ATS to several of our friends."

"Eddie did a spectacular job. I could not be happier with my decision to use Marble and Granite Services. Eddie came by to give the quote and made some fantastic recommendations. We changed the slab we had and could not be more happy. I wish I had know about these guys years ago. DO NOT HESITATE to call them. They were also significantly cheaper than the store installer who did lesser quality work for me previously."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Engineered quartz is an artificial, nonporous material made from a mix of mined ground quartz, polymer resins, and pigments, making it a lower-maintenance option. In contrast, quartzite is a natural stone composed of sandstone, which makes it highly resistant to heat but often requires sealing and more careful upkeep. You should clean both types of stone with non-abrasive cleaners that have a low or neutral pH, avoiding acidic cleaners like vinegar, as well as wire brushes and scouring pads.

No, you should not put a hot pan or pot directly on a quartz countertop. While quartz is generally heat-resistant, the resin binders used in its manufacturing are sensitive to extreme heat. Placing a hot pan on the surface can damage the resin, leading to discoloration or other cosmetic issues. If the heat exceeds 150 degrees Fahrenheit, it can cause permanent damage, such as burns or even cracking. To protect your countertop, always use trivets or hot pads.

Since marble is a porous material, it is more prone to water spots than other countertop options. Fortunately, pure water doesn’t damage your marble, but if the water is acidic, it can cause stains or water spots. Resealing throughout the year can help increase marble’s water resistance, too.

Yes, you can generally put hot pans directly on a granite countertop without worrying about cracking, as it is a durable, heat-resistant stone that can withstand high temperatures. However, it is still highly recommended to use a trivet or hot pad as a precaution. Prolonged or repeated exposure to high heat can potentially cause discoloration or damage the countertop's sealant, making it more susceptible to staining. Additionally, the heat from a pan can transfer to the granite, creating a burn hazard for anyone who touches the surface shortly after.

Quartz countertops are relatively expensive, but they’re a very popular option because of their durability and attractive design. Some manufacturers also offer lifetime guarantees for their products. Even though they’re expensive, they could wind up being a one-time purchase.
