"Local Professionals come through: I had a water flow problem on the front center part of my roof that resulted in some of the sheathing under the overhang to dry rot. I also had a rain gutter with damage caused by a leaning tree. I called Roofmasters for a free quote. Johnathon explained the process and answered all my questions. Aaron arrived on-time for the quote on 8/27/2018. He explained what caused the dry rot and answered my questions regarding concerns I had about other areas of my roof. He put my mind at rest – telling me that my roof appeared to be in good shape except for the area that brought him there that day. I received the written quote on 8/31/2018 for the roof and gutter repairs and scheduled the work to be done on 9/14/2018. They called 30 minutes before arrival as promised. They were professional, courteous, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves well. They even replaced a couple cracked tiles at no additional charge. They are a local company (Suisun City, CA) that obviously still takes pride in their work. This seems to be a trait that is in short supply these days. However, during a technician's visit to take measurements, we were informed that they would be unable to provide what was initially contracted & that it was backordered. Given the multiple red flags, vague and shifting details regarding design and timelines, and their ultimate inability to deliver the agreed-upon product, we chose to cancel the order. Importantly, this cancellation occurred before any fabrication or manufacturing began. Despite this, Mulholland Brand withheld $1,200 from our reimbursement without any prior notice or clear justification. Perhaps this practice of retaining fees was simply because a technician came to take measurements?ironically, the visit that confirmed they couldn't fulfill the original product in our agreement.
