"Larry gave me a fair quote and had my bathroom floor repaired and the new floor stalled in a day. Cleaned up and installed a new baseboard which wasnâ  t in the quote. Love my new floor! Will definitely recommend him. No hidden fees."

"Erik did an exceptional job with the installation of laminate floors plank and carpet in my newly purchased home. He did quick and good work while on a time crunch before we moved in! His prices were very fair. I would highly recommend him for all your flooring needs."

"After my wife got a number of estimates, bids and recommendations to replace the common areas of our home she ended up choosing Nena. While it took some time for our flooring to come in from a separate vendor once we received it and contacted Nena for an installation date they quickly worked with us to set it up. Installation day came they arrived promptly just as they said they would. Once they got going the crew quickly got to work and before we knew it they were done! Ratico was amazing, professional and accommodating. He even touched up some unfinished work in another room when we just asked him for an opinion. He even finished our laundry room since we had extra planks to complete it at a very reasonable added cost. If we were to do more flooring or decide to change existing floors in other parts of the house we would not hesitate to give him a call immediately. We will definitely will be spreading the word and recommending them every chance we get."

"They did not clean the floors after install and I had to sweep and mop for 2 hours afterward. I was also quoted for 20 extra square feet than I actually had. So I paid extra labor and materials that was not even needed. They did give me the extra materials but I would rather get a refund."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpet stretching can be a worthwhile investment to increase the lifespan of your carpet and eliminate unsightly wrinkles, ridges, and ripples. For an older carpet that is in relatively good condition aside from some wrinkling or bubbling, restretching can make it look like new and extend its life by at least a couple of years. You should consider restretching when you notice looseness or other related issues.

However, it's important to note that stretching will not fix issues like stains, wear in the pile, or discoloration. Consider replacing the carpet instead if the repair cost is more than 50% of the price of a new one. Additionally, if your carpet is past its expected lifespan of five to 15 years, or if it has been stretched multiple times already, replacement is likely a better option.

For rooms with an even number of feet (10 x 12, for example), you can technically just multiply them together to get the number of square feet in the room (10 feet x 12 feet = 120 sq. ft.). For irregularly shaped rooms or areas that aren’t even square feet, converting to inches will be your best bet for an accurate measurement.

Resurfacing a garage floor takes about eight hours on average, with another couple hours over three days to do the epoxy. Epoxy goes on in three coats, with each coat taking 24 hours to dry and cure. You’ll need to keep foot and vehicle traffic off of your garage floor for around 4 days in total when replacing your garage floor, so be sure to plan ahead before you start. This is a great time to organize your garage since you’ll need to move everything out to apply the epoxy.

Common problems with laminate flooring include surface-level scratches, dents, warping, and separating seams. Scratches can be caused by dragging heavy items like furniture or from not using a mat under rolling office chairs. Dents can occur from regular wear and tear or from dropping heavy objects on the floor. Most of these issues can be prevented with regular cleaning and moisture control, and many are fairly easy to fix for a beginner DIYer.

It’s better to lift and set down furniture; sliding it across the floor is more likely to cause damage to both the floor and the furniture itself. For very heavy items, consider using a dolly with rubber wheels. It is possible to purchase sliders designed specifically for gliding furniture across floors, but you still risk causing permanent damage to flooring if you use them.
