We are so happy to find a PRO (Top Notch Pro) who has so much experience and is local. Very friendly & professional. Our refinished wood floors look brand new and one carpeted room now has new wood floors. Beautiful!

We highly recommend Larry Shinall & his son for the refinishing of hardwood floors. They did a wonderful job in refinishing our floors & I would use them again in a heartbeat! Larry and his son did a fantastic job on refinishing my engineered hardware floors, making them look brand new, we also changed the color and went with all natural instead (maple) versus using any stain, it looks like a new floor, I highly recommend Larry as he does tremendous work, things do come up on any kind of a remodel but he jumped right on and fixed any issue that did come up, which I think that's rare to find in a contractor these days - somebody who will stick with the job until it's complete, and not leave thee homeowner to fix any minor issues that may have arisen or after the fact. So if you're looking to get your floors refinished he's got over 30 years of experience, his son is also a very hard worker, they're very personable, and do great work - highly recommend.

This guy is an artist with hardwood floor installation and finishing . He uses state of the art dust control machines and is fair and reasonable. If you want a beautiful hardwood floor, you can trust Shinall to do a first class job and thatâ  s for regular and super expensive homes. In addition Larry listens to what the customer wants and tryâ  s very hard to meet expectations. Donâ  t waste your time and money with big companyâ  s. Use an artisan if you care about results. We now have 100 year red oak floors. 2-1/4â  x 3/4â  ,, grade 1. Really nice. Everyone comments on them

Larry gave me a fair quote and had my bathroom floor repaired and the new floor stalled in a day. Cleaned up and installed a new baseboard which wasnâ  t in the quote. Love my new floor! Will definitely recommend him. No hidden fees.

We have used Shinalls floor service before we will not use anyone else Larry and his son Larry Jr. are both wonderful people who we completely trust in our home, they are very good natured and happy workers. They go through great detail to make sure you get a high quality professional finish. We had a radiant floor leak at the end of our hallway our floor raised up about 8" like a pyramid our floors were imported from back east. Larry found a perfect match he milled them himself a perfect match and fit. He refinished our whole house it was simply beautiful using a semi gloss was perfect. Larry and his son will more than work to guarantee you are happy. No wonder he has worked hard to protect his name & have the highest ratings.

Larry and his son have completed two flooring jobs for me. The first was refinishing original hardwood floors from 1960, efficient and excellent workmanship. He has now completed a luxury vinyl tile floor in the kitchen and dining area. Pulled up vinyl and subfloor, installed new tile. Excellent work, clean and efficient............ Larry and his son were hired to do a hardwood floor refinish. The orginal floor had warpage on most boards due to previous water hose leak on washer. About 700 sq ft was drumsanded, then further with disc sanding to create a smooth floor. After the sealer and 3 coats of finish, the floor looks amazing. Larry was prompt, kept us informed and removed and reinstalled all the baseboards. His equipment is professional and minimized dust generation. He might not have been the cheapest, but I am certainly satisfied.

I was most appreciative that they reached out to me for the initial contact. II needed subfloor work done immediately to not delay my carpet installation. Shinall's were able to come in 2 days and were scheduled to work on Friday and even Saturday. They were able to finish in 1 day. I was very satisfied.

When we contacted Larry we had several issues with our hardwood floors that dated back to the 1960’s; a previous owner had at one point installed carpet over them, there were several sections that had been repaired with plywood, there were significant gaps and plenty of unevenness between boards from years of expansion and contraction, and the squeaks were unbearable. Larry analyzed the work, provided a fair quote, fixed all of our issues and completed the job promptly. He and his son (Larry Jr.) arrived daily to the jobsite on time and ready to go with friendly smiles and positive attitudes (truth-be-told: I probably spent too much time talking their ear’s off; both are easy to talk to). The quality of their work is unmatched. We LOVE our refinished hardwood floors! They are gorgeous! Great work “Shinall’s Quality Hardwood Floors”!           

After someone else tried to refinish my floors I thought they were ruined so I called Larry Shinall, who promptly came over and gave me an estimate. Larry was professional. Kind and knew his business. My floors have never looked so beautiful, I get compliments from all who come by and see them including the builder of my home!! A fantastic contractor!!! I hired Larry Shinall to install solid hardwood flooring in my kitchen, dining room, and hallways. The job that Larry did is so beautiful, so detailed, and each cut is perfect. He gave me a fair price and completed the job on time. Beyond being a skilled and honest contractor, he is funny and great to have in your home. I will be hiring Larry again to refinish my older wood floors, and also install new hardwood on my stairs.
