Yes, you can pour concrete over an existing concrete patio to resurface it. This is a common repair method called resurfacing. For the best results, the old concrete should be clean and free from debris, and the new slab should be at least three to four inches thick and contain reinforcements, like fiberglass fibers or wire mesh, to avoid cracking.

Resurfacing a concrete slab can be worth it if the concrete is in decent condition and has minor cracks, chips, or discoloration. If the concrete is cracked, peeling, sunken, or broken up, then replacing your concrete is probably more cost-effective in the long run and will give you a better outcome. The method used to repair cracks in your concrete driveway will depend on the extent of the damage, but the most common method for small cracks is to use a driveway resurfacing compound. This solution is either cementitious or made of polyurethane, and it will seal the crack and make your driveway appear undamaged. 

For more severe cracks, you will likely need to hire a professional driveway repair service. They can use mudjacking, epoxy injections, partial driveway replacements, or a combination of these to fix more serious cracks in your concrete driveway and to prevent recurring issues.
