"They are very pricey. They are excellent doors and I was really impressed because the front door made a beautiful difference in my house. I had two small French doors leading out to the back and they chose to put in a small sliding glass door. It is a good door and there isn't anything wrong with it except that when I walk out of that door I have to turn sideways. It doesn't open wide enough for me to walk straight out of it. My grandson loves it. It is sealed good and it is an excellent door but I wondered if there wasn't some way they could have made it wider. The overall service was good but they were a bit pricey. They were punctual but the weather kept them from working a couple of times. The quality of their work was really good and they really did a good job. They were punctual and very professional. I really felt that they knew what they were doing. The guy did say that he had never seen a sliding glass door go in a space that small so we discussed it and I asked his opinion. He told me that they could put in a door that would open and then put in side windows to fill in the extra space. I told him to talk it over with them when he went back. The next thing I knew they did the sliding glass door. It is a good door and I can't complain about it. He said he tried to tell me so there was mixed communication and maybe I didn't put enough input into it. I would look around the next time because of the price."
Your clothes—and your washing machine—will send you a few signals if you’re overdue for cleaning your washing machine filter. If you notice a buildup of detergent residue on your clothes, your clothes don’t dry quickly or at all, or you’re noticing lint in the machine, it’s time to clean the filter.
Main sewer lines can clog for several reasons. For example, if you regularly dump oil or grease down your drain, it could eventually block your line. Sometimes, tree roots can penetrate and grow inside old sewer pipes, creating a major blockage. Flushing bulky items (like paper towels, diapers, or baby wipes) can also clog your plumbing system.
Yes, flushing a clogged toilet can make it overflow. While flushing the toilet may push enough pressure through the system to dislodge the clog, this is unlikely. Your best bet is to use a plunger and hope the suction can break up whatever is blocking the pipe. If this doesn’t work, use a plumbing auger or call a pro to help.
Yes, frozen pipes can prevent a toilet from working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which means your toilet tank won't be able to refill after a flush. This will prevent the toilet from flushing again. Depending on which lines are frozen, the ice can also block the drain pipe, preventing water from flushing away.
As a temporary workaround, you can manually add water to the tank for each flush. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try filling the toilet bowl or tank with warm water and flushing to help thaw the ice. However, the best long-term solution is to unfreeze the pipes to get your toilet back in working order.
If you drop jewelry down your sink, it can cause a clog, especially if it accumulates other debris on its way down. However, that is the least of your worries if you drop your favorite jewelry down your drain. If your gold band goes tumbling down the sink drain, don’t panic—refrain from running more water down the sink, and follow the steps above.
