"Julia organized my closet and house. I had so much stuff and it was so cluttered. She helped me go through and get rid of items. Then she put everything in order that was so much better than what I was doing before. I highly recommend Closet Jules!!!!"

"Guliano and his wonderful team were very professional. They did an amazing remodeling job with our large kitchen space. On top of it, they installed new windows, new coat of paint, ceramic tile floors and few other tasks. We strongly recommend INA Kitchens for our future remodeling projects. Prior to hire them, we spoke to a few other home improvement companies and Guliano was the one that really listened and understood what we really wanted to achieve and even was able to deliver a perfectly remodeling product."

"We hired McCormick for a bathroom remodel, and the whole process was smooth and professional. Khaled helped us make smart choices on design and materials that worked for both our budget and style. "I bought my home as a fixer upper and A and A Construction remodeled the entire thing. This was a huge project and it was hard to find someone to trust to be able to do all of it correctly but A and A truly came through and lived up to everything I could hope for. From structural work and following protocols for the larger more complicated areas of the home, down to the smallest details and designs when it came to colors and styles for the interior, they were very hands on the whole way through and very professional, I am so thankful I found them and I LOVE my home now!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

Tiny house living requires creative solutions to the one biggest issue: space. Many people in tiny houses find life most manageable if they practice minimalism. Eliminating excess items and clutter makes the living space feel bigger, which can be a significant mood booster. It can also be challenging to get utilities arranged for a tiny house, and building and zoning codes can and often do present unique challenges to overcome.

On average, building a custom or built-in closet costs around $2,100. However, the total price can range from as little as $500 for a simple DIY project to $6,000 or more for a large, high-end custom closet. Most projects typically fall between $1,500 and $5,000.

The final cost depends on several factors, including the closet's size, type, materials, and features. Here is a general cost breakdown by closet type:

  • Reach-in closet: $500 to $1,500

  • Walk-in closet: $750 to $5,000

  • Wardrobe: $2,000 to $6,000 or more

Choosing a prefabricated closet system is generally less expensive than a fully custom build. The scope of design and construction services will also significantly impact the price.

We use storage in nearly every room of the house, so it's no surprise that we lose track of things from time to time. The best way to organize storage is to declutter each year to cut down on auxiliary items that can be donated or tossed. Once you decide what's worth keeping, create an inventory list for all boxes you won't open for at least six months.

The differences between a built-in closet and a walk-in aren’t that different from a built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s fairly simple—a walk-in closet is a closet you can physically enter, stand in, and walk around in. A built-in (whether wardrobe or closet) is more akin to covered shelves installed into a recess in the wall. Another big difference is walk-in closets almost always have traditional full-size doors, while built-ins either have no doors or use sliding doors.

Yes, books are typically heavier than clothes, unless you have a collection exclusively of paperbacks or comic books. That’s why packing lots of books warrants careful planning and consideration. Consider packing up your reading collection first to determine whether you need to downsize it before loading it into your moving truck.
