"We needed a complete roof replacement on our tri-plex. While there was no shortage of seemingly competent roofers and painters to choose from, when it came time to find someone to replace the gutters, we were struggling to find just one that had consistently good reviews, scored well with the BBB, was licensed, and just seemed nice. Few returned phone calls. One provided a bid which merely said, "Replace existing gutters." With the gutters being removed by the roofer long before he was to start work, what was going to be his frame of reference? Luckily, we found All Seasons Gutters. Jason was warm, friendly, and very communicative. His detailed bid included all dimensions so we knew exactly what we would be getting. When the job was complete, he sent photos of the project and even included before and after photos of the top of a patio cover that he'd cleared of leaves, dirt, and debris left behind by the roofers. As far as I am concerned, there is only one choice when it comes to rain gutters in the Fresno area...All Seasons Gutters & Patio Covers!"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Unless you've chosen to install underground downspouts, your gutter downspouts shouldn't touch the ground. If they come into contact with the soil or pavement next to your home, rainwater can back up into them during a storm, preventing them from doing their job effectively. Instead, aim to have your downspouts end about 12 inches from the ground.

Downspouts channel water from your roof and gutters into the ground following a specific route so water doesn’t accumulate around your house’s foundation. Without a downspout, the standing water will wash away material and disrupt the soil, leading to foundation erosion. The standing water will also form ice around your house during cold weather, causing a safety hazard.

Yes, many homeowners find that seamless gutters are worth the investment. Although they have a higher upfront cost than standard gutters—an average of $2,700 compared to $2,000—their benefits often outweigh the price difference. Seamless gutters last longer, require less maintenance, and are less prone to clogs and leaks due to having fewer seams. In contrast, standard gutters typically have seams every 10 feet, which can leak and require new sealant every one to five years. Additionally, seamless gutters are considered more aesthetically pleasing, come in a variety of colors to match your home, and can improve your home's curb appeal and potential value.

Minor repairs like sealing small leaks or cleaning debris are DIY-friendly, but professional repairs ensure long-term stability and proper drainage.

If you are experiencing minor issues with your gutters, such as a small leak or cracks in one or two sections, it makes more sense to repair the issue than to replace your entire gutter system. However, you may need to replace your gutters if they’re frequently detaching from your home or if you notice a buildup of mold or mildew in your basement.
