"The previous homeowner installed front sprinklers that were the wrong type and were over watering the yard. I had Dan Elliott replace and relocate the heads in the front yard for proper coverage, replace the existing control valves that were above ground into a box underground. He also designed and installed a system for the back yard as well as an automatic control system for both yards. The entire project was completed in two days at the estimated price. There were no surprise costs and everything was done in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend him to others as well as use him again if ever needed.

"Paula and Randy did an excellent job with my house and yard. They took it from a sorely neglected house to a beautiful home. They have an awesome can-do outlook when confronted with any challenge. I could not be more satisfied with the work they did. Highly recommend!"

"I was very pleased with what they did. They are pretty good people. They did a great job and were on time. They had a look at it and gave me the price and they were back the same day to pour the concrete. So far there are no cracks. I would'nt use anybody else for concrete."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

The difference between an ejector pump and a sump pump lies in their purpose and design—an ejector pump functions to remove liquid gray water and soft solid sewage waste from your home. If you have a laundry room or bathroom in your basement, an ejector pump for your sewage tank prevents sewage from backing up in your washing machine or bathroom’s drains.

A sump pump is designed to remove excess groundwater that may enter your home, either due to flooding or periods of heavy rain.

It depends on what caused your basement flooding, the extent of the problem, and the risk of the flood continuing. If your flood is coming from a septic system or sewer line, breathing in the sewer gasses can be dangerous, so you should vacate. If the flood occurs from an ongoing natural disaster, relocating to a safe area might be wise. If you just have a plumbing leak or rainwater coming in, you can likely stay in the house if you don’t have electrical lines down there, but make sure you call in professionals to fix the issue immediately.

There are several things you can do to maintain your sump pump and prevent sump pump problems. For instance, keeping a lid on your sump pit goes a long way in protecting your pump system from silt, sand, dirt, and other debris. When water drains from the outside, such as along your foundation, or with melting snow, water runoff often brings sediment with it.

Also be wary of corrosion, particularly if your sump pump system is made of metal. Keep an eye out for rust and have it inspected regularly by a plumber or sump pump technician.

Basement toilets don’t always need a pump. However, it is the most common setup because plumbing systems use gravity to move waste away from the home. Basement toilets often sit below the home’s main sewage system, and installing a sewage ejector pump pushes the wastewater and sewage up to the main sewer line. Alternatively, you can use an upflush or macerator toilet that breaks down the waste and pushes it straight to the main sewer line rather than via a sewer line from the bathroom.

The cost to install landscape drainage varies widely based on the scope of the project and the severity of the drainage issues. Typically, this project’s cost falls somewhere between $2,000 and $7,000 overall. Small-scale projects or simple fixes may start at the lower end, while more extensive and complex solutions could reach the higher end of the range. To get an accurate estimate, you should obtain quotes from multiple companies, as they will assess your specific needs and provide a customized cost estimate based on the work required.
