They did remodel on living room, dining room, 2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom. Extremely professional, excellent workman ship. Couldn't ask for anything better. They are definately a 5 star company

I'm so happy with the tile backsplash Ken of Great Scott Builders installed as part of our kitchen remodel. He worked efficiently, was easy to have around and was careful with the details, with a good eye for what looks right and a lot of know-how. The price was fair and appropriate for the time spent and the craftsmanship we received. Overall, a beautiful job. I would not hesitate to ask him back for another project.

Great Scott Builders has been our go to for the last two years as they have remodeled our home. We have completed the kitchen, office, living room, guest bathroom and laundry room. For each room, we continue to use Ken’s services because he does quality work for a fair price. Next up, the Master Bathroom!

Ken did a great job replacing the patio roof. The fit and finish was excellent, the roof was superior to the original in looks and functionality. The area was cleaned up completely upon completion.

The work was done as advertised, on time, and at the estimate price. The finished job looked better than the original door installation. The work area was cleaned up perfectly, with no debris left anywhere. Ken is very good, reliable, and very pleasant to deal with.

Never heard back from him to do work. This is not the first review on this site where he has left customer high and dry (or in my case damp). He came out to see what the problem was, charged me $200 to clean debris off of roof. Spent about 30 minutes with him writing up for an estimate on the ceiling dry wall replacement that had gotten wet due to a leak and an extra kitchen remodel. Said I would get quote in 1-2 days and could do work that week. NEVER heard back from him. I reached out but got no response. Now my ceiling is starting to show mold.

Professional, prompt, courteous and a pleasure to work with. He brought his team and a trailer full of tools and knocked the job out in a couple of days. They left my job site clean. They reworked the layout and moved cabinets and the refrigerator and oven area. They also built a set of drawers so we can open a wall between the kitchen and living room. The drawers were built from remnants in another part of the house. We're hiring him again on another upcoming project for my rental.

Ken originally quoted me $950 which I thought was reasonable. I had to go in the house to make some phone calls and when I came out about half an hour later he was already gathering his tools. He said it was not as bad as he thought and only charged me $200. I asked if he would put the blocks on the floor, and he pull his tools back out, drilled holes into the floor and fasten the blocks and I was very happy with what he did. I was so happy with his work that I gave him an extra $100. He was certainly worth it. I can not recommend him too highly.

Ken installed my new double oven with such skill and professionalism.  Ed, his
employee  did a great job as well. He was always punctual and replied
to my emails and phone calls asap. I found Ken Scott on Angies list and contacted him.  He came out and gave me an estimate.  GE delivered the wrong oven so we had to wait a week for the replacement.  He took care not to scratch the new oven and cleaned up after he was done.  He had to tweak a few doors above the oven so they would not touch top edge of the new one. I would highly hire Ken for more jobs in the future!

Everything happened in about a week with no hiccups.

We are very pleased with his work and professionalism. He was able to take on a couple of smaller projects like installing light fixtures in the hall and installation of a new dryer vent and paint in the laundry room. He was so easy to deal with. Always returned my calls promptly, and he cleaned up as he went along so there was never a mess left at the end of the day. As if that's not enough, he's a really nice guy!

I got 3 bids from 3 different contractors here in Bakersfield, and Ken Scott of Great Scott Construction, was the most responsive with the best bid.  He came back with subcontractors, carefully measured, and submitted a bid that he discussed and reviewed with me.  They started when they said they would, and Ken and his employees were here every day at 8 am and left at 5.  On the one day they had other appointments, they let me know ahead of time, and were back at work promptly the following day.  They worked hard all day and cleaned up after themselves each day.  They were extremely helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and the quality of the workmanship is fantastic!  
They had to work on my neighbor's property for one side of the garage.  They planned it so they did all the steps in one day for a
 minimum of inconvenience to my neighbor.  My neighbors were extremely impressed with how neat, and efficient they were.  They were also amazed at how it looked like nothing had been disturbed when they were finished.  All my neighbors have been extremely impressed with the wonderful work and professionalism GSC displayed while working on my home.
I used to manage large commercial property in San Diego, and have worked with many contractors over the years.  Great Scott Construction, Inc., is by far the best contractor I have ever worked with in every sense of the word.  Prompt, honest, efficient, great quality, knowledgeable, professional, plus a great price, are the terms I would use to describe GSC!  

I would use Ken again.  Very honest, shows up on time, very detailed oriented.  My bathroom looks great!

They are competent workers. They have a high standard of quality. If you're going to do any work in your home, call theses guys. They arrived on time and went right to work.
