"Mega Power was great! I hired them to go solar on my house and the solar analyst that came out was very helpful from day one. He was not just simply a sales guy he gave me his personal cell phone that I was able to call anytime if I had questions or wanted updates about my project.
My project was about 6 kW and consisted of 22 panels, each panel was 275 Watts. What I loved about these guys is that all the products they installed were American made products, warrantied for 25 years! Working with Jonathan (our sales guy) was another reason I chose to go with Mega Power. Every step of the way Jonathan was informative, and just professional from day 1. Price quotes with other companies were similar, so I simply chose the company that provided me the best service before signing anything."

"I am new to this house and not familiar with the irrigation system which was allowing a lot of water to run into the street. Also there was a constant puddle in one area. Mike Elliott came promptly after my call. He recommended replacing the heads to more water conservative models and his crew came out on the same day. Heads were replaced, a faulty valve was repaired and the system was programmed to operate under the new city rules on watering. The whole job took about 2 hours. The crew cleaned up the yard areas where they worked. This company was efficient and pleasant.

"All went well. He explained why he had to put a double ring for the toilet and also gave me other tips as we talked. Very nice and friendly young man. For the water line, it apparently had the wrong connection leading from the water pipe (reason why refrigerator installers would not connect icemaker), so he had to go to a hardware store to get the correct part. If I had to find something I didn't like about the work that was done, it would be the fact that he had to leave the cover off that goes over the water pipe that sticks out of the wall. It wouldn't fit back over the pipe because he had to saw some of it off, therefore leaving the hole exposed. It is purely cosmetic and I can live with it, as no one can really see it. Overall, very happy and satisfied with work performed."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

If you hire a professional, installing a new sewage ejector pump costs $850 to $3,500, or an average of $2,300. Otherwise, if you handle the installation yourself, you can expect to pay $500 to $1,000 for the sewage ejector pump, permits, and other supplies required for this DIY project.

Standing water under your house can threaten its structural integrity. If water pools in your crawl space, it can damage the foundation and the structure above ground, causing wood rot, mold, and other problems. If you have a concrete foundation, standing water under your house can also make your foundation slabs crack.

Preventing future basement flooding often involves installing sump pumps, improving drainage, sealing foundation cracks, and maintaining gutters. Costs vary, but preventive measures can range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on the solutions chosen. Investing in prevention can save you money on future flooded basement cleanup costs and repairs.

A sump pump should be placed at least three feet deep in a pit. The rim of the sump pump basin should be level with your basement floor. If you find your pit is too deep, you can fill the bottom with gravel until the rim of the sump pump is flush with the floor.

Installing a sump pump takes a bit of know-how, but it is possible to do it yourself. You’ll need to familiarize yourself with details like where sump pump water goes to avoid creating new flooding risks. If you’re doing the work yourself, it’s recommended to bring in a pro for a quick inspection afterward so you can be sure your home is protected from any water damage concerns.
