"Did a great job plastering the exterior of my house. Covered the areas where a door had been removed and windows had been enlarged to perfection. All the work was very detail oriented and completed on time. Kept the area clean and neat as he completed each stage of the work. I would highly recommend Robert for any job large or small."

"They completed the job on time and on budget. The finished walls look great. While they were there, they even did a couple of small repairs that weren't listed in the scope of work. Would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"We just completed our remodeling project with Best Builders Group and it was a great experience overall. We added a master suite (appx 350 sq. ft.) to our house. We got several estimates from several construction companies and we decided to hire Best Builders Group for that because of their big experience in design, great price and great approach. The addition project was not simple at all but Zohar handled each stage of the work very productive and he always kept us up to date about the entire progress. His design was a huge advantage and it was the main thing that we couldn’t fins in the other ones. Our bathroom addition is definitely stunning and it’s our favorite part at the house now. Zohar also recommended to have a tile wall and floor tile that made the bathroom a beautiful one! More than that, he was very hard working worked extra hours because of our long schedules. Zohar and his professional crew were very respectful of our time and space. Overall, we are excited with the addition and thankful to Zohar and Best Builders group."

"I would recommend Menaci Drywall Design to anyone looking for home repair work. They were quick to reply and answer questions, get info on what work needed to be done and scheduled an appointment to come do work. From first contact to completion was done in 3 days due to it being over Thanksgiving, had it been a regular week I believe it would have been done even sooner. The friendly and professional service is much appreciated!"

"Working with ?All About Paint? to have the exterior of our home painted was a great experience. They returned phone calls immediately, gave us a very competitive quote, provided references and even helped to choose the perfect color combination. Once the work commenced, they removed the gutters, pressure washed the whole house, made repairs to the stucco in various areas, painted all exterior, wood trim, patio cover, front doors, side doors, and metal garage doors. They even went as far as removing the exterior light fixtures, and re-installing them when the work was complete. It took them a complete week to do the job. They were on-time every morning and were meticulous about masking everything, and not getting over-spray or spilling paint on anything. The house looks great, and I will definitely use them again. My neighbor was so impressed with their work, that he hired ?All About Paint? to paint his house the following week.

"My husband and I hired Steve's team to paint the interiors of our house 2 years ago (which they did an excellent job), so when we needed a giant hole in the ceiling of our guest bathroom patched after some plumbing work, it was a no brainer to email Steve. He responded within a couple of hours, gave me an estimate after I sent some pictures, and promised to squeeze us in between his busy schedule.
Within a couple of days, Steve came and spent a good half a day patching the ceiling and sent Mike to paint the ceiling the following day. It all sounds pretty routine, but what must be mentioned is that Steve and Mike went above and beyond to make sure the patch/paint job was done to absolute perfection. When Mike noticed that the paint didn't matching the paint on the rest of the ceiling, he painted the entire ceiling instead so it would look seamless. And when our leftover paint wasn't enough to cover the entire ceiling, Mike ran out and got us fresh paint as well. Mike could have finished the job many hours earlier by only painting over the patched hole and leave my husband and I to deal with painting the rest of the ceiling ourselves, but he did not.
I have never hired a company more responsive, trustworthy, hardworking than Steve's team. They take pride in all jobs they take on, big or small. Take it from our experiences, when you hire them, you've hired a team of perfectionists.

Plaster Repair questions, answered by experts

If your home was built before the 1940s and was not remodeled in the past 50 or so years, you probably have plaster walls. Aside from assuming, there are some practical ways to tell if you have plaster walls, including the following: If you knock on the wall and it feels solid, not hollow, if you can’t insert a thumbtack easily, if there are cracks that look like spiderwebs, or if your home has curved, arched, or swirled walls, doorways, or window openings.

If you have an unfinished basement or attic, you could examine the backs of any finished walls to check, too.

While it is possible to repair minor plaster cracks or holes yourself, it is generally not recommended for larger jobs or if you want a professional result. Plaster repair can be difficult in practice; proper wall preparation and achieving a smooth, seamless finish that blends with the existing wall requires experience, especially on textured surfaces. Hiring a professional ensures the repair will be durable and last longer, potentially saving you money over time. A pro can also determine if the cracks are from normal expansion or a more serious underlying issue.

Wondering who to call for ceiling repair? While you can hire a handyperson to fix minor cracks, you’ll want to hire a drywall professional for larger issues. Depending on the cause of the crack, you may need to hire other contractors, such as a foundation contractor, mold remediation company, roofer, or plumber near you.

Plaster is a pretty tough surface, but it can still sustain damage from things like bumping against it, water issues, dampness, extreme humidity changes, and plain old age. Most plaster walls last hundreds of years and will only be taken down to the base layer when major repairs are required. Being cautious around the wall, not placing furniture against it, and ensuring stable humidity are all great ways to reduce possible damage.

Whether Venetian plaster increases your home's value often depends on the buyer's preference. As a purely aesthetic upgrade, it doesn't add structural value in the same way a kitchen or bathroom remodel might. However, its beautiful and attractive appearance can make a home more appealing to potential buyers, possibly leading to more interest, higher offers, and increased competition when you sell.
