"I am a material manufacturer and supplier. My company is Ultra Concrete Coatings, LLC. I hired Josh Scott as a salesman prior to him owning this company. In February 2017 Josh sold a $1685.40 order of our concrete sealer to his father, Rodney Scott (Concrete Resurfacing Systems) in California. This order was paid for, at the time of shipment, with a credit card. Happy with the product, Josh placed a second order of the exact same sealer in April 2017. This second order was for almost three times the quantity at $4779.41. This time Josh and his father asked for a couple days to pay for it as they were expecting a down payment on a job. We accommodated their request. They received the order but after numerous calls, emails and past due notifications in the mail they wouldn't pay. The excuses not to pay were from not getting paid for the job the sealer was used on to being a victim of tax fraud to other ridiculous excuses. Finally in July 2017 we received a $1000.00 check toward the $4779.41 invoice. Since then they have ignored all requests for payment of the balance. During this entire time I have offered to pick up the sealer and provide a 100% credit upon return. This offer to return the sealer is still available but they continue to ignore us. Also, during Josh's employment with us, he requested and received over $1500.00 in product to give as free samples to potential new customers. Josh never gave any of the product as samples instead using it for jobs he did on the side to supplement his income. I don't normally write reviews for companies but I feel it is important that potential customers of Southwest Coating Solutions know the type of people they may be doing business with. I have been in the swimming pool business since 1969, specializing in repairs to pools and associated items. I spent a few years managing the landscape department before my managerial training. Great education. I was there 18 years then moved on to get back to my creative roots and a smaller company. Got to do some amazing projects, ponds and renovations. I started Natural Pools & Gardens in 1994 to better serve clients, as we have no commissioned salespeople, a situation which can offer a much more natural and functional end result than other methods. We also design / build the complete outdoor living space which allow us to design amenities which can actually be built, as opposed to 'happy lines on paper'. However if a client only wants a portion built, say a pool or a pond, we can do just that. Our goal is to make clients for life and since 1994 we have the privilege of doing multiple projects for a good number of our clients. Projects which fit naturally into the outdoor living space. It is not advisable to pour concrete directly on dirt. Even compacted soil—known as a subgrade—is not strong enough to maintain the form of concrete. You can, however, pour concrete over concrete as long as the overlay has proper bonding agents and the slab below is clear of damage.

An easy way to cut concrete pavers without a saw is to use a hammer and chisel. You can make a few passes over your paver with a hammer and chisel to make a fissure where you want the paver to break. Once the divot is about 1/8 inch thick, drive the chisel hard into the center of the line to complete the cut without using a saw.

Concrete should be at least 4 inches thick for steps. This thickness boosts stability and prevents cracking and deterioration. After you’ve built your forms out of wood, fill the void with a sand or gravel base for concrete. Use an all-purpose concrete mix to form your steps. After pouring your concrete steps, be sure to screed and float the concrete. 

Concrete pools are very durable but can crack if not properly maintained. The most significant risk is winter weather and low temperatures when water can seep into crevices and freeze. To avoid damage, use the proper winterization chemicals, and don’t completely drain your pool. Concrete pool repairs cost around $75 per linear foot for small cracks.

Yes, you can screw directly into concrete, but only if you use screws specifically made for masonry or concrete. They're often labeled as masonry screws and made of steel and a special thread that provides a strong grip. However, even when using these screws, drilling a pilot hole first will make it much easier.
