Painter is Luis Galindo. He worked with us to get the paint we wanted and I paid the difference in price to get the "best" paint. That added about $100.00 over the cost of the paint he'd planned to use. He pressure washed the house right away, but painting was delayed because the paint took almost week to get in town. We had to use colors specified by our home owners association. He did a minimal job in scraping old pain off roof facia, so the delay gave me time to do a better job scrapping paint in some areas. I did't mind doing some of the work myself. For the price he gave I hadn't expected more from him. I also removed and replaced our sun screens and exterior decor items. We had a couple of additional delays in painting due to windy conditions, otherwise the painting went well. He was easy to work with and very willing to do as I asked. In some cases he offered suggestions which I appreciated. I got another bid to do the work from a licensed contractor, but it was double the bid of Galindo and sons. The price I paid was for a single coat of paint. He would have gladly done two coats but the cost would have been more. We used an excellent paint which included a primer in the paint and it covered very well with one coat. Depending on the paint, others may not be satisfied with one coat. Overall, we were very satisfied with the end result and the price we paid.
Update, 01/28/15- When putting up our Christmas decorations I noticed an area on the front of the garage where the stucco has a particularly rough texture. The paint had not been applied to get above the texture, so there was a sizable area that need to be covered from the top. I called him and explained what I found a week before Christmas. He said he would take care of it, but did not commit to a time. After a couple of calls and a missed appointment he came by the house on 01/28/15 and touched up the area he hadn't covered along with two other areas that hadn't been well covered on the west side of the house. After he left I noticed there were still a few spots he missed again, so I touched them up myself. The main reason for painting my house is to seal it from water penetration. Leaving spots of unsealed stucco exposed would leave those spots unprotected. For homeowners who are seeking a good price, I would still recommend Galindo, however, I'd insist he thoroughly inspect the completed job and cover all the spots he missed."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/az/yuma/galindo-and-sons-painting-reviews-8213363.htm"},"position":5},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"MC Plumbing LLC","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"AZ","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Paula K."},"reviewBody":"2 hours before we were scheduled to leave for the long Labor Day weekend, we realized that our garage floor was covered with water because our water heater burst. Our regular plumber was out of town so we checked Angie's List hoping another plumber would be able to come over right away, even though it was a Saturday and the start of a holiday weekend. MC Plumbing answered the phone right away and said they would send someone right over. I left a message when I called, and they returned my call within a few hours and set up an appointment to look at the job and meet us. The day before the appointment, Walt called to say that they had an unexpected visitor and asked if it would be convenient to move the appointment later in the day. That was fine with us. He arrived on time, looked at what the job entailed, and recommended the amount of paint that we would need to purchase for each area. Because his son sets up the schedule, we did not get a scheduled date to begin until the next day; it was 3 weeks later On the day before they began, Walt called to touch base and assure that we were all on the same page about what he was planning to do. He planned to arrive about an hour earlier than they usually arrive so that I could let them in and give them a key and get to work earlier. ( I am allergic to latex and am unable to be in the house when it is being painted, and they were very good about being independent and taking care of whatever needed to be done and reducing my exposure.) On the next day, they called just before 8 am to say there was an accident on the freeway and they might be a few minutes late, but they were there by 10 minutes after. We discussed what they would do first, and they did all of the furniture moving (including large dressers and the piano), took down and replaced pictures, and really didn't expect much of any work from us in the process. They got the job done in less time than they had planned, so painted a couple of extra large rooms in the time planned. They also made the trip to get the extra paint, since we were working. An elderly parent lives with us and has caregivers present, and they were very considerate about working around them as well as making sure not to let our 2 dogs get out. Walt and his son Chris did all of the painting in 4 days and we couldn't be more pleased - it is beautiful! I would definitely hire them again."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/or/troutdale/colorworks-ne-reviews-320662.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Healthy Nails and Spa","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"AZ","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Pam A."},"reviewBody":"I have tried out several places, looking for somebody who does a quality manicure with shellac - nobody had quite met my standards yet. I'm not quite as picky about the pedicure, but expect the manicure to look good on day 1 and to last at least 2 weeks. Once again I Googled shellac manicure in Portland, and found a few places that I had not tried. This one is not a convenient location for me, but seemed to have some good client recommendations on the internet, so I decided to try them. I called on the morning of Feb 22 and Henry answered the phone. He was pleasant and businesslike. I was surprised to be able to make an appointment that very afternoon. He asked if I had a particular person I would like. Since I had seen Luanne's name in many of the good reviews I found, I asked for her. She was available. So far so good. I ran into heavy traffic and it took me longer than anticipated to reach the business, so I called to let them know I was late. Henry was gracious and advised me to and quot;be safeand quot;. When I arrived, I found a parking place right in front of the store. Unfortunately I had not noticed the sign that said I couldn't park there between 4 and 6. Henry came out and advised me that I should probably park in the lot to avoid being in trouble or being towed. The lot is right next to the business and is convenient. I appreciated the advice. The salon was quite busy - lots of customers receiving manicures and pedicures, and some going to the room at the rear to have eyebrows, etc done. The place is decorated nicely, is pleasant, and is very clean. Clients and staff are all good humored and seem to be enjoying theirselves. They have an amazing selection of polish colors in regular nail polish, CMD shellac, and OPI gel. As soon as I was seated in the comfortable pedicure massage chair, I was presented with a drink menu featuring wines, lemonades, teas, etc. I selected peppermint tea which was promptly delivered to the small table in the arm of the chair. Although I didn't use it, there is an iPAD with each chair for customer use. Luanne was pleasant and professional and went right to work, being careful to assure that I was comfortable and the water was not too hot or cold - it was perfect. There was some kind of and quot;potionand quot; in the water that smelled nice. She removed the old polish and spent more time than anybody else ever has caring for and shaping my toenails. They use a new kit for each client (at the cost of $1) and ask that you bring it back when you visit again. She worked h****** my callouses, and then did a thorough massage, including my feet, each toe, and up to my knees. She used a nice scented massage oil as well as an exfoliating type of scrub for the feet. I observed Niu, Tina, and two other technicians whose names I don't remember preforming similar services for other clients with the same unhurried and careful attention to detail. There was one other new client present; the others were all long time customers who have nothing but good things to say about the services they receive. After my toenails were polished, I was led to the other side of the room where manicures are performed at a long black granite table. The manicure was also performed with great attention to detail. Both when she shaped my nails, and when she applied the polish, I was asked if that was exactly what I wanted and was advised to not just be nice, but to let her know. I wouldn't have changed anything. This is probably not a place to go when you want to just get in and out quickly and aren't too particular about how it is done, but I was very pleased and most certainly will be back. Although the location is not convenient for me, the drive is most definitely worth it! I can recommend them highly."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/or/portland/healthy-nails-and-spa-reviews-3323460.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Bridget's Housecleaning","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"AZ","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Elizabeth S."},"reviewBody":"Bridgette's great! Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works.. Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to [email protected] with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away. Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's 225 for 11x14's 275 for 14x17's After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts
Yes, homeowners can undertake holiday lighting installations by ensuring safety precautions. Using proper tools, following safety guidelines for electrical connections, and carefully planning the layout can make DIY projects fulfilling and manageable.
The simplest way to put Christmas lights on any metal surface is by using a magnetic hook or clip. You can also purchase magnetic lights, which should easily stick to any magnetic surface. Keep in mind that not all metals are magnetic. In that case, you’ll need to use a different clip.
Nails are a popular choice for hanging string lights, but they are not the only option. Use outdoor hooks, zip ties, or even awning hangers to string up lights outdoors. For indoor lights, use simple tacks, zip ties, damage-free adhesive hooks, or drawing pins. When all else fails, just wrap the lights around some furniture or outdoor fixtures.
If you need to visually inspect your Christmas lights to determine which are good and which need replacement, there are a few things to look for. First, look for discoloration, such as a dark spot or two on the inside of the glass. The spot is an indication of a burnt filament. Also, look for missing filaments, cracked bulb glass, and broken sockets.
