"We had a neighbor drill a well 150 feet from our well and it fouled the water at our well head. The well pump filled our storage tank with dirt and other muck, we delt with this for about three weeks before reaching out to a professional for help. Joel and his wife at Above and Beyond are great people, both were very knowledgeable. Here is the kicker Joel called me back the same day, on the mountain that is unheard of. In fact most of the time contractors don't even bother to call you back if the job isn't big enough for them. After explaining my situation to Joel he gave me some tip to try before he came out to save me some money. I tried them but the well was so dirty, so I called him back and he set up an appointment a few days later, again someone coming out in the same week you called is not normal on the mountain. The weather has been wet, so getting to my well house and walking around at the well was a mess but they took it in stride. After about 4 hours they had our well cleaned up and tried to clean the well house the best they could, the mud was crazy. I could not be more happy with the work Above and Beyond did for us, their rate are very reasonable. If you need well work I would recommend you call Above and Beyond Well and Pump Service. I have used four of the other well contractor and they didn't leave me feeling like I got my moneys worth."

Residential sprinkler systems cost $1,600 to $3,600. However, there are several factors that will impact the price of your system, including your lawn’s size, the type of sprinkler system, and labor rates in your area. The number of sprinkler zones and type of sprinkler heads can also affect your costs.

When installing a sprinkler system, make sure that all of the sprinklers are at least 2 feet away from your house. If they’re closer than that, they might spray your foundation, walls, window wells, or other parts of your house, which could lead to water damage, flooding, or mold growth inside your home.

You can find irrigation lines whether you dig or not. If you decide to dig, do so near valve boxes and around sprinkler heads. Once you find the first pipe, you can map the system from there and use spray paint or tape to mark the pipe layout throughout.  

If you don’t feel like digging, aside from getting a map from the maker of the irrigation system, you can still find irrigation lines by locating the valve box and following a line back to the head sprinklers. You can also use a water-detection device or a metal detector, which will work if the lines have metal tracer wires.

Water in sprinklers is subject to gravity like everything else. It tends to seek out equilibrium and will drain to the lowest elevation in what's known as low-head drainage. Water that isn’t sprayed from the sprinklers doesn’t specifically “rest” in the sprinkler lines, but it can stay there until it’s either sprayed out in normal usage or blown out with an air compressor prior to winterization. 

By delivering water directly to the roots, drip irrigation keeps plants healthier with less fertilizer and less H2O. Without losing water to evaporation or runoff, drip irrigation cuts necessary water usage by as much as 30% to 50%. Drip irrigation also supplies water at a consistent rate, which keeps plants healthier by relieving them of damaging stress and allowing them to grow faster, all while reducing the growth of weeds. Maybe best of all, by operating continuously and automatically, it saves you the labor of regular watering.
