They discovered that the vehicle only had a small oil leak, which was fixed with an inexpensive leak-stop additive. That really saved me some $$$. A local dealer's shop had previously said it needed new power steering fluid hoses and a pump, for $800. Not so! Henry's is friendly, prompt and easy to work with. They may suggest a few additional services/products, but there is no hard sell. And they often offer excellent coupon deals. It's a great place to have your car serviced and I always feel that the work has been done well and for a fair price. I had purchased the car new. For the first two oil changes, I took my car to the car dealer where I purchased the car. Since that dealer is located an hour's drive one-way from where I live, I decided to take my car to a local shop,Theisens, for the third oil change. After the service was completed, I drove my car back home, which is only five blocks away. I noticed a terrible smell, but thought it was coming from the exhaust of the car in front of me. The next day, when I drove my car, the smell was unbearable, and there was no car in front of me, so I realized the odor was actually coming from my car! The smell was so bad, that I had to put down all of the car windows just to breathe. Since the outside temperature was in the 90s, it was very uncomfortable with the windows down. At the time, I was thinking that some oil must have gotten on the motor, or something similar, and that it would burn off quickly and that would be the end of it. However, the next few times that I drove my car, I had a similar experience. I also noticed that I had oil stains on my driveway that previously did not have any stains at all. I purchased a chemical oil stain remover, and special protective gloves to treat the stains. However, the stains did not fully disappear, and the concrete that I treated came out lighter that the rest of the concrete around it. So it ended up looking even worse, and our house is up for sale. We certainly didn't want dark oil stains detracting from the curb appeal of our house. Over the next few days the inside car odor got much better, but additional oil stains appeared in the driveway. The driveway now looked horrible with the oil spots that I had already treated with the chemical, and now additional dark oil stains. I was having sincere regret taking my car to Theisens for a simple oil change. Because oil was still leaking from the car onto the driveway, I called Theisens, explained the problem, and made another appointment. The person at the check-in desk told me that he was the one who had worked on my car. I was impressed with his honesty. He examined the car and said that a little part (I can't remember the name of it) had become misshapen during previous oil changes and that it needed to be replaced. Now, I don't know anything about cars, but I find it highly unusual that an expensive new car, that has had only 2 previous oil changes ever, and those changes were done at the dealership where I purchased the car, would have an oil part already worn out. It didn't make sense to me. I have owned cars for years and years, and I have never experienced difficulty breathing after an oil change that was so bad that I had to lower every window in 90 degree temperatures. And I have never had oil leak onto the driveway before. Especially on a 1 year old car with just a few miles on it. That didn't add up to me. I was not charged anything for the replacement of the little part. However, I was thinking that Theisens might refund my money for the original oil change, or give me a coupon for a free oil change, or something else. Especially since I had to spend additional money and time on the chemical & gloves to remove the oil stains from the driveway. But nothing was offered to make me feel better about servicing my car at Theisens. I am now hoping that there is not any permanent damage to the air filtration system, or the air conditioner, since the odor through the air vents was so extreme. And I hope the engine parts aren't all gummed up with excess oil. My car was so clean and nice before I took it to Theisens for an oil change. What a mistake! I should have driven the distance back to the car dealership to get the oil changed. They also find something "wrong" with our car every time we go there but when we go to our real mechanic or do our own checks, nothing is wrong. At this location our battery was messed up. But we've had it checked twice since then and no battery problems. I feel like they are bait and switch artists. We have a discount oil change "card" where our oil changes are pre-paid and once that is gone I will be happy never to go to this chain again. We told them we had taken the car to Jiffy Lube in Prescott Valley approximately three weeks earlier for an oil change. We took the car to Prescott Honda Thursday morning and left the car there for repairs. We received a phone call approximately one hour later telling us the car was ready - the air filter was not tightened properly nor the oil plug which they tightened. No charge for the service plus they washed my car. I was very impressed with the service department and will be taking my vehicle there for oil changes and any other service in the future. FAQs for heating oil service projects in Clarkdale, AZ
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
