"Got a great deal on equipment through Angies List. Tech was very helpful and took the time to answer questions and customize package to best meet our security needs."
"The job went very smoothly. The tech ran a bit late, but he called to say so. He installed a keypad by the front door and assessed the house for security. He suggested, since there are several casement windows in the living room and adjoining dining room that a breaking glass sensor would work better and be more cost-effective than alarming all the windows. He did alarm a door that the previous company (inherited when we bought the house twenty-three years ago) had not considered significant. I feel safer with the current sensor choices than the ones I had before. He took the time to make sure I knew how to use the system, so I am very pleased with the service. My one caveat: I was told that the motion sensor would not register my smaller pets (two cats) because they weigh under forty pounds. They must have set off the sensor, though, because the police responded. The system certainly alerts the authorities, but that motion sensor is very sensitive! "
"The service provided by CSI Secure Solutions was second to none. From the start the team was professional, diligent and tenacious in their quest for answers. This was not an easy case but Chris and his team went above and beyond the call of duty. If you are looking for a quality investigator with integrity, compassion and skill, I highly recommend CSI Secure Solutions."
"That's the name I am vaguely familiar with; it's a home security company that is license to ADT franchise or dealer if I am correct. They were very good. They were prompt; they were quality. The individuals move their business. They were very timely and it was a good experience."
"It was easy. No one came to my house. I answered their questions. Those answers provided them with what they needed to send me a DIY system to arm my home. Everything was explained and all seemed simple until I got the kit. Nothing was wrong with the kit, however, I was nervous that I would not line up door and window sensors correctly. Afterwards, I could not figure out why I was so hesitant and nervous. I have tripped the alarmed, was quickly contacted and false alarm cancelled."
"A warning for potential clients: Our actual move went pretty good other than one gentleman who kept wondering around our house even after being told several times to stay out of certain areas. After our move, I discovered my jewelry missing. Keep in mind, this jewelry was packed and secured in my dresser. This dresser was completely covered in a blanket and shrink-wrapped from top to bottom. So, the only way to get in was to break into it. I know, bad idea to leave the jewelry in the dresser. But I figured it was wrapped up tightly and the moving company advertises professionalism with statements such as treating your items as their own. As soon as it was discovered, it was reported to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department. I followed it up with a call to C2 Moving. I was transferred to Charles. I told Charles that I wanted to file a claim for my missing items, but he kept telling me how his guys wouldn't do such a thing. He also stated valuables should be removed beforehand making me feel even more sad and upset about my loss. Anyway, he asked if he could call his guys right away and get back with me after he talked with them. I said, "Yes". However, I never heard from Charles again. In fact, I have made numerous calls since December 5 only to be told he is in a meeting or that he is out of the office. I'm still waiting for that call. After about three weeks of no communication, my husband called Charles to speak with him. Eventually, my husband did get to speak with Charles after numerous attempted phone calls and he was given the same song and dance about how it was our fault. Ok, I accept some responsibility. He finally told my husband to get our police report to him and he would talk with his insurance company. He also told my husband he would call him back the next day. Guess what? My husband had to call him once again. Eventually, we got a email response from one of the women in his office. The following is the response word for word. You stated that you were sending the police report for our review. This is not the complete report, its just the first page with no items or statement. Our contract states we are not responsible for items that we did not pack and that we strongly suggest that the customer removes and transports all cash, jewelry, coins, firearms, etc. themselves. You stated that you wrapped the items you are claiming on of the subcontractors told and stored them in a drawer of the dresser that you padded and placed shrink wrap on for transport. We wouldn't have done anything with the contents except place the dresser in the room of your choosing and then remove the shrink wrap and padding from the outside of the dresser for disposal. The police were not contacted for 7 days after your move and no one from the police department have made any contact with our office to go over the details. I will await the copy of the complete police report from Jennifer to do more research as she is the said "victim" in this case and all the paperwork regarding this job is in her name. Thank you. OK. First of all. I was only given the first page of the report. Two. Do you sense any kind of care or concern in this letter for my missing items. Three. The movers have been the only people around the dresser unattended besides me and my husband to date. Four. You can't tell me that your subcontractors wouldn't take the items. Five. The police weren't contacted for seven days because I work for a living. Between unpacking and working at a hospital 12-hour days and running a food bank, the jewelry wasn't even looked for or noticed right away. Six. I'm not in control of how police departments run their investigations. Seven. Notice the tone of the word victim as if we were lying. Hmm. I then sent in the full report by email and directed it to Charles. Instead of possibly trying to show care and concern, I was contacted again by one of the women in his office. Not Charles. I was told again that it was my own fault and told the facts of their contract. So, my husband calls Charles and Charles proceeds to yell at him and pretty much called him a liar about the jewelry being stolen. Charles refuses to file a claim with his insurance or at the very least, reimburse us for our move. I realize that I have no pictures or video proving that the movers stole my jewelry. But, they were the only people around my dresser. Before the move, jewelry. After the move, no jewelry. I don't know, but it seems fishy. My items are gone. My grandmother's engagement ring. My mother's ring. My engraved jewelry box from my children. Ask yourself. Do you believe that C2 Moving is a company in whom you would feel completely comfortable entrusting with your items? The risk is yours....do you really want to gamble?"

"OK first of all I never write reviews, dont have the time. However, the experience I had was amazing. I mean from when they answered the phone I felt comfortable. No high pressure, very straight forward salesperson. I called two other companies and both tried to upsell me from what they advertised. I am so happy I called Skycover! They did not try to upsell me. I purchased exactly what was advertised and saved even more money than I thought. I got a video camera for free with the system! I have a home office and now I can see what my assistant is doing from anywhere I travel in the world and I frequently travel to China for work. The system arrived to my door in a beautiful box and I will admit was concerned about setting it up, but it was plug and play just like the salesperson said. It took me less than 30 minutes in total and was super simple. I control everything from my phone. This is the greatest thing I have done in a long time, I would recommend this product and company to anyone I know! "

Leaving a light on at night probably does not deter burglars as much as we would like. While there isn’t much evidence supporting the theory that lights deter burglars, there’s not anything disproving it either. If you feel like it offers added security because a burglar thinks you’re at home, then you can set your lights to a timer so they go off and on at intervals, mimicking someone moving around inside the house at night. A better idea is to install motion sensor lights in your yard.
Smart deadbolts are a worthwhile investment for homeowners seeking more convenience, flexibility, and advanced features than a traditional deadbolt can provide. While a strong conventional deadbolt offers sufficient security for most, smart deadbolts provide significant upgrades.
Key benefits include keyless entry via smartphone, keypads, or biometric sensors, and the ability to lock or unlock your door remotely. You can also manage access for guests by creating temporary codes, eliminating the need for physical keys and the risk of them being lost or duplicated. Many models integrate with smart home systems and offer features like automatic locking, entry-exit monitoring, and tamper alerts with encryption for enhanced security.
However, there are downsides to consider. Smart deadbolts are more expensive than their traditional counterparts and rely on batteries and wireless networks to function. This dependency introduces potential vulnerabilities, such as hacking by skilled intruders and privacy concerns. Installation can also be more complex. Despite these drawbacks, the added layer of convenience and protection makes them a compelling option for many.
Several types of deadbolts are available, including single-cylinder, double-cylinder, rim, smart, and electronic deadbolt locks. The most common type found in U.S. homes is the single-cylinder deadbolt, which uses a key on the exterior and a thumb turn on the interior. A double-cylinder deadbolt features two locking mechanisms and requires a key to be operated from both the inside and the outside.
You likely can reset your house alarm without the code, but it depends on many factors like how it’s wired and whether or not there’s a default reset code. Most companies make bypassing a security alarm without entering your code challenging to prevent burglars from simply resetting the alarm during a break-in. Your best bet is to contact your alarm company directly to get specialized support for your situation.
But, while you wait for support, you can disconnect it from the power source to stop the alarm from going off.
