"This is an amazing family owned and operated business. They were professional, efficient, knowlegible, and friendly. I would highly recomend thier company and will use them again."
"We purchased a townhome in Flagstaff several months ago. The unit is situated on a small hill with a pine forest to the rear. There was a small patio in the rear yard. However, the soil was eroding down the hill into the valley below and the patio was cracking due to the unstable soil. I contacted Angelsun Landscaping and Michael inspected the problem and came up with a solution to stop the erosion and stabilize the rear yard with a retaining wall and extending our brick paver patio. JP, Michael's father suggested additional items and solutions. The work took just a little over a week. We were not at the property while the work was taking place. When we arrived to view the work...we were totally blown away by the improvements. They were better than expected. The new patio was magnificent!! In addition, an aluminum wrought iron style fence was added plus a planting area. All the work exceeded our expectations. JP and Michael are the consummate professionals and we would not hesitate to have them do any landscaping work we may have in the future."
"It went great . Dylan was a hard worker and we are very pleased with his performance. Very knowledgeable and didn’t need to be told twice. I highly recommend Black Horn Builders for any of your needs"
"I received a call from the company in February getting back to my interest in their patio shades during a home show that we attended in the fall. I guess their backlog of inquiries kept them from getting back in touch with me in a shorter period of time, but since I have so many other irons in the fire, this wasn't a problem. The salesman who came out was helpful and courteous when presenting the range of patio shades that are offered by the company, and did a good job of taking dimensions and working up the quote for me. Since the shades are custom, I paid approximately two-thirds down, with the rest to be paid after installation. The installation 3 weeks later went without any problems. The two installers were courteous and professional, and when finished showed me how to use the controls. I was concerned about how well they would get the electrical power to the shades from the outside outlet. They had to make a?separate small hole in the stucco to get the cable to the underside of the patio roof, but patched well enough to make the area blend in with the rest of the wall. coming out and over to the shades was done through steel conduit and boxes, which they painted with the paint I had on hand so that everything blended together. I definitely prefer the electric drive for these shades, and they blend well with the rest of the house. I only gave a score of "Good" for pricing, since I don't like to spend money to begin with, and really didn't get multiple quotes from other companies, since the other companies didn't ever get back to me. I suppose other company's shades would have been in the same price range."
"John and his crew did an excellent job of painting the whole exterior of the house. They did everything John said they would do plus. Everything was better than I expected. I would recommend John and his crew to anyone that needs a house painted."
"Very knowledgeable and competent as well as easy to work with. Rick's suggestions were spot on and helped make the project better than planned. Work was done well and on time. Would recommend."
"Too early to tell on final outcome, but initial indications good. Attentive to work and professionalism. Would have preferred weeds cut shorter, but in fairness they were thick and maybe not a reality."
You can start your search for a reputable patio company by finding providers in your area with positive ratings online and few, if any, complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Once you narrow down your search, contact the companies and ask for examples of their past work, as well as a list of references. The examples will show you the quality of the work you can expect and how professional the finished product will be, and contacting previous customers will give you an idea of the service you can expect throughout the process.
If you’re trying to decide between a sunroom and a screened-in porch, the right choice will depend on your priorities. A screened-in porch costs only a fraction of the price of a sunroom, but in exchange, it has much more limited use. A sunroom will add more value to your home, but at a much higher up-front cost and longer construction timeline.
Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:
Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.
Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.
Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.
Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.
In most cases, you can attach a greenhouse to any type of house. However, certain factors need to be considered, such as the structural integrity of the house, available space, and local building regulations. You should consult with a professional contractor or architect to assess the feasibility and ensure proper construction methods.
A well-constructed and well-maintained sunroom can last as long as the rest of your house. If you build the sunroom to the same standards using the same quality materials as the house and perform regular maintenance to ensure the room stays in top condition, it can bring you decades of enjoyment.
