"Getting calls from your neighbors while on vacation stating "There's a fountain coming from your yard" wasn't the highlight of the weekend. But, after a quick search we found Shaw Plumbing. Brandon showed up early, went straight to the issue, and resolved.... in less than a few hours. Sounds easy? Sure until you see the huge hole he had to dig... and today it's like it never happened! I would say our grass is actually greener than before, and we made it in time for Taco Tuesday. Lets be clear, prices were a steal considering they came out and resolved.... same day! I'll absolutely recommend their services and will be using them in the future, these guys are pros!"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You may have a clogged gutter. Downspouts can also clog if your gutter collects too much debris. Hire a professional gutter cleaner, and if you still have problems, install a gutter guard (which prevents debris from entering your gutter system) and a downspout extension (which helps drain water further away from your foundation, so it doesn't pool near your house). Follow these tips to keep your gutter downspouts clean.

Using less toilet paper is the easiest way to prevent future clogs. Also, avoid flushing sanitary products, thick paper towels, or hair down the toilet. If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.

Yes, you can use hydrogen peroxide to unclog a drain. Instead of using a baking soda and vinegar solution, you can use baking soda with hydrogen peroxide. The process to unclog a drain is the same as with vinegar, but use 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide instead.

Ever wonder what might cause your outdoor spigot to lose water flow? It's not as complicated as one might think. Something as simple as a clogged or leaky pipe could be the culprit. Some other causes are corrosion of the pipes or lack of water pressure coming from your street.

No, it is not advisable to spray pesticides down the drain in your home. Most drinking water and wastewater treatment systems are not properly equipped to remove pesticides. Should pesticides infiltrate waterways, they can cause harm to plants, fish, or other living things. In most areas, pouring pesticides down the drain is illegal due to the potential harm it causes.
