Tim was wonderful especially to come out on a Sunday afternoon. The clogged master bath drain was cleaned out quickly and he made sure all bathroom fixtures were draining properly; all for a reasonable cost.

Water heater needed to be raised 18 inches off the garage floor. The water heater was in a very tight spot in the garage closet. The standard riser would not fit. Ready Rooter came up with an exceptable plan and was able to get the job done and was able to raise the water heater the needed 18 inches. I liked the way they stayed with the job to come up with an exceptable action plan.

I had called another plumber to come out, referred to as plumber B. B couldn't find the external clearout and so removed my toilet completely. He didn't have a shop-vac with him, and ours was in use elsewhere, so we had to use towels all over the floor for the water that came out everywhere. B spent a good 30-45 minutes trying to get through the clog, where he broke his snake and cursed like a sailor. He said this kind of stuff never happened to him, no one else would have even tried because of that happening, and it was either a big toy my kids had flushed down or a collapsed pipe. He did refer me to Ready-Rooter. I understand that it's awful having your tools break, and I felt terrible about him spending so much of his time trying to clear my pipe. I am very thankful he didn't charge us. Once Joe from Ready-Rooter came out though, I didn't feel quite so bad.
I called Joe and they said they'd be out the next morning. They came to my house, climbed on the roof, and used the ventilation shaft to clear out the pipes. It took him about 20 minutes. He told me it was some thick paper towels that had gotten caught. (My roommate had gotten sick and cleaned up with paper towels, she must have thrown them in the toilet instead of the trash.) He put my toilet back in place for me too. I was expecting a very large bill, and was very surprised and grateful for how low it was. He was very courteous throughout the whole transaction.

Do use Ready if you're in a hurry. All plumbers charge like rip; about the same.
Don't buy his unwritten recommendations; he's too slippery-vague, will definitely get to you, hook, or crook.
Buy a D-I-Y manual, it'll payback the 1st call.
