I called several times after three months to get an update but got zero response. Left messages and sent emails with no response. I finally got through to the national number by selecting the option to book an appointment for a sales call. I was redirected to the service department, and the rep said someone would call me back. Again, no response. They already charged me for the windows; otherwise, I would cancel the order."

As expected, the drain was clogged and the tank was way too heavy to lift out without draining. When using air pressure failed, they pulled out a shop vac, jerry-rigged a small hose on the end and slowly suck out enough water to allow the tank to be lifted out. They're one of the best crews I've ever had working for me. I have my mechanic, my electrician, and now I have my plumbers. I'll never use anyone else and I highly recommend them."

The biggest disadvantages of low-E windows have to do with cost and, depending on your personal taste, appearance. Low-E windows cost more than traditional windows—typically between $300 and $1,000 per window, plus installation costs. The most likely cause of smearing or streaking after cleaning your windows is residue left on the glass from the cleaner you’re using. Additionally, aim to clean your windows on a cool, cloudy day, as cleaners will dry more quickly on the glass if it’s hot and sunny, promoting streaking.

Mulled windows are no less efficient than individual windows, provided the wall opening is the same size. Larger wall openings filled with glass will always reduce overall energy efficiency, as glass transmits heat more readily than a solid wall.
