Small jobs welcome

"So glad we went with this local, family owned business over some of the other bids we received from larger companies. Curtis was very open during the entire process and they did a fantastic job on our driveway. S&G will have all of our business from now on."

"Nothing but great things to say about Kevin and his crew. Kevin is friendly, responsive, timely, knowledgeable and professional. His expertise and talent as an Equipment Operator was a joy to watch! My project was an acre more or less of 25 year tree and brush growth; so land clearing, a driveway and building pad complete with two dump truck loads of AB spread and graded. He did in less than a day what it would have taken me three days with rented equipment. He saved me time, money and headaches! I can't wait to call him out again. I need a pond and a hole for a root cellar dug; KO Excavating is the one I'm calling. Thank you Kevin!"

"Contacted Tru Cut and they gave me an estimate within 24hrs.  As I requested (hoping more leaves would fall), they waited one week to do the work.  We have a steep driveway with water run-off "ditches" on either side that go behind the garage and down to the lake.  They cleaned the ditches, our driveway/parking pad, and the back yard.  The job was excellent.  Will definitely hire them again.

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

In Mountain Home, driveways typically require the most attention, especially at main entrances, turnarounds, and steep grades. RV pads and boat storage areas often need resurfacing due to frequent use. Walkways, parking areas, and paths leading to lake access may also benefit from asphalt paving. Areas exposed to runoff, tree roots, or repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be checked regularly for early signs of deterioration or the need for asphalt repair.

Helpful?

For asphalt paving in Mountain Home, hot mix asphalt (HMA) is ideal due to its durability in both hot summers and cold winters. Use a performance grade binder such as PG 64-22 or PG 70-22 to handle temperature changes. A dense-graded aggregate base from local limestone or gravel, geotextile fabric for clay soils, and a crack sealant designed for freeze-thaw cycles will help ensure long-lasting results. Including driveway resurfacing materials can further enhance performance.

Helpful?

Completing asphalt paving in Mountain Home enhances daily comfort by reducing dust in dry weather and eliminating muddy areas during wet seasons. It makes snow and ice removal easier in winter and protects vehicles from gravel damage. You’ll notice less dirt tracked indoors, improved curb appeal, and increased property value. Asphalt paving also supports a cleaner, safer environment for outdoor activities and is a smart investment for long-term livability.

Helpful?

In Mountain Home, asphalt paving benefits from regular maintenance, including annual inspections for cracks and drainage issues each spring. Sealcoating every two to four years during dry weather helps protect the surface. Prompt pothole repair after winter’s freeze-thaw cycles, routine crack sealing, and keeping drainage clear are essential. These steps, along with periodic asphalt repair, extend the lifespan of your paved surfaces and keep them looking their best.

Helpful?

Your Mountain Home property is well-suited for asphalt paving if you have a stable gravel driveway, effective drainage, and moderate to heavy vehicle use. Soil testing is recommended for properties with clay or rocky soils to ensure proper base preparation. If your land is properly graded and not prone to standing water or settling, asphalt paving offers a durable, low-maintenance solution, especially for those seeking dust control or driveway resurfacing.
