"This solved a huge issue in our newly purchased home. The crawl space was dank and humid and this seeped into the home, creating an uncomfortable and unpleasant high humidity environment in the house. Redeemers came out, talked through the best solution for our home, and scheduled the service. When install came, they were super professional, hard working and on time. The finished product is outstanding and has lowered our in house humidity by almost 20%. Highly recommend this team and company!!!"

"The first time that we were scheduled for our roof repair was on a Friday and nobody showed up or even called us to reschedule.  I emailed on Sunday asking for another date for our roof repair.  The owner called me on Monday and apologized for his crew not making it out to our house.  I asked him to work us in sometime before Thursday due to heavy thunderstorms that were forecast for that day and we had missing shingles.  He promised he would get it done before then.  Two guys finally showed up at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday morning and hurriedly did the repairs under dark overcast skies with thunder rumbling in the distance....pretty scary.  They finished just as rain started falling.  The owner called me right after they finished and told me he would come out in the next week or so to do an inspection of the repairs and finish up anything that was needed.  I was glad to hear that because they were supposed to blow out any debris that might have gotten in the gutters and I very much doubted that they had had time to do that. Also it looked to me like a couple of shingles on the ridge of the roof were bumped up and I was curious why the shingles were so much lighter colored than what was already on the roof....wasn't there a closer match than that?   I never heard another word from the owner about doing the inspection so I called him on 10/17/14 and left a message asking when he might be going to do that inspection.  When he called me back he asked if my roof was leaking.  I said it wasn't but I would still like to have him inspect it as he had assured me he would.  He asked if he could email me after the weekend to see what their schedule was going to be for the coming week and I said that would be fine.  Well, surprise, surprise, it's over a week later and I've never heard another word.  I feel that if you say you're going to do something, then do it.  Don't make your customer hound you to get it done.

"Well, they were late.  Didn't bring a ladder,  but I have an extra that another contractor left here, so I had one they could use.  Cleaned the gutters, which required removing the  gutter covers/ leaf preventers (hah!) and then re-installing them.

Unfortunately, about 3 weeks later we had some pretty strong winds and 3 of the gutter covers blew off.  I hadn't gotten around to re-installing them when they came to install the Christmas lights, so they put them back on for me.

Also, they didn't turn the water off when they were through.  A couple weeks later the POA came by to tell me I had a water leak; well , no, the fools had left the water running.  My water bill was triple that month.  Sheesh.

So, yeah, I wouldn't have made the same mistakes if I'd done it myself, but I really don't want to be on the roof where it's a two-story drop and there's no one here to watch.  So I'll probably use these folks again, but I also know to check EVERYTHING before they leave."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Some storm doors might need two closers, depending on the weather conditions in the area. For example, if it’s particularly windy where you live, installing two storm door closers (instead of one) can prevent your door from slamming shut when it’s propped open. You can place one at the top of your door and another at the bottom.

Most homeowners can expect to pay between $186 and $680, with the cost of installing storm doors averaging $432, including both materials and installation. Labor costs range from $75 to $400, depending on the complexity of the job; however, paying for a professional helps save you time and ensures proper installation. If you go the DIY route, you could spend anywhere from $250 to $1,000 for just the labor kit, which includes the door and hardware. You’ll also need to budget for tools, like a power drill and level, if you don’t already have them.

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.

There's a long list of benefits of adding a storm door to your home, making the minimal cost, difficulty, and time commitment of installation well worth it. It protects your home from rain, wind, and show, improves your energy efficiency, allows you to save money on electric bills, offers great ventilation, and deters break-ins.

The benefits of a storm door include providing extra protection against severe weather, improving your home's insulation, and helping to keep pests out. They also add an extra layer of security to your entry door and can enhance your home's curb appeal.
