"They were able to get to our project right away, they did an excellent job at painting the room. I felt they gave us a fair price for the project done. I would recommend Mega Construction if you have a project you need done!"

"The work that QRP did for me was excellent. The employees that worked for this company did a great job on all the jobs I had, and they were very pleasant to speak to while they were here. I would highly recommend them and would hire them again."

"Highlights: Provided quote up front Provided a time line for completion Supplied the materials and labor Tweaked projects as my interested changed Highly reputable - did what they promised to do Trustworthy - earned my trust early and never caused me to doubt them; didn't even have to be home while they worked Clean freaks - they laid drop cloths along their walking paths and draped off rooms that are to be kept from construction dust. Turnkey jobs including electricians, plumbers, drywallers, floor layers Didn't expect payment until the job was complete In short, we contacted ACDC for a remodel quote for our kitchen and laundry room. This was a full gut job taken to the studs and slab. We have a chef's kitchen now with potfiller at the stove, counter depth frig, travertine floors and more. Once the ACDC team got started and helped me brainstorm ideas, my project grew to include a new living room mantel. We then added the 2 bathrooms to the list. This was our first project. It went well. As road bumps came up, they helped me navigate the choices. Our second project was a concrete pad and with a gas-powered generator. They demo'd the area, poured a new pad and installed the generator. Our third project was to repair termite damage to a wall in a bedroom. After Orkin treated and cleared it for rebuild, ACDC's crew removed all damaged areas, reconstructed the walls, textured the walls and painted. It's better than new! Our fourth project just finished. We replaced a sewer line under our home. Once the line was replaced and the new slab poured, we installed new flooring in the the room and adjacent hallways. The ACDC crew did a wonderful job laying travertine to match the pattern we used during the kitchen reno. For good measure, we added new baseboards. Without a doubt, my next remodel project will go to ACDC."

Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

The cost to build an outdoor kitchen averages around $15,500, but prices can range widely from $5,000 to over $52,000 depending on the project's complexity and features. Many projects fall within the $5,000 to $30,000 range. Since outdoor kitchens are highly customizable, several key factors influence the total cost, including the size and layout of the area, the quality of materials for countertops and cabinets, the number and type of appliances, the need for site preparation like land leveling or a foundation, and whether new utility lines are required.

Deciding whether to buy a prebuilt fireplace kit or build one from scratch comes down to aesthetics, available space, and budget. Many homeowners like the convenience and lower cost of prebuilt options—around $1,500—versus the involved planning and construction of a larger fireplace. Another bonus: you can usually move prebuilt units. Custom projects are more common when homeowners have access to a larger budget and more area in the yard to place the fireplace.

Pallet wood can withstand all kinds of outdoor weather conditions, which is part of why pallet fences are so appealing to DIY-ers. You can weatherproof the wood further before you paint or stain it, as well. Pallet fences are low-cost, easy to install, and can withstand sun and rain exposure without rotting.

You can call a second kitchen many different names—butler’s pantry, scullery, prep kitchen, working kitchen, dirty kitchen, or even just second kitchen. In modern times, however, second kitchens are almost always called prep kitchens or small kitchens. However, the purpose of a second kitchen remains the same—prepare food and clean items “behind closed doors.”

Weatherproofing and winterizing your outdoor kitchen is extremely important, especially if you experience intense weather events. Make sure to choose weather-resistant furniture and waterproof containers to store ingredients. Also, go with a high-quality grill that’s built to last and protect your cabinets with sealant or varnish. Finally, invest in a covering of some kind for when it rains or snows.
