"I've been using Arrest-A-Pest since 2008, and have had a great experience. Locally owned and operated, Tony and his team take good care of things. They use safe sprays and if bugs are seen between sprays they are happy to come back out at no additional charge. In 8+ years, I've had them come back once. That's pretty good! Recently my small dog ingested a fair amount of the chemical immediately after application and was sick- as with all chemicals, it's best to keep pets and children from them while they are fresh; once dried there shouldn't be any danger. Not only did Tony answer my call after hours, and provide immediate information that I needed for the vet, but he also followed up and checked on us. Great service all around- couldn't recommend anyone higher.

"Terminix was quick to respond and to get out here for a termite inspection, which is what we needed. However, they signed us up for pest control and said their agent would be out to care for us right away. So far haven’t seen him yet. Will give 5 stars if that turns out well."

"I have a contract with them so I have to use them again. It pays for itself eventually if you get good repair people. You don't control who they send."

Most spiders are harmless and are more interested in finding and eating insects than trying to bite you or your family members. Unfortunately, this may not be a practical solution unless you’re completely redoing your yard or installing an aboveground garden. Alternatively, you may consider putting underground rock barriers around the edge of your yard to discourage gopher visits. However, you’ll still likely get some pests because they can dig as deep as 6 feet below the surface.

A mosquito barrier spray is designed to linger on surfaces and kill mosquitos for up to three weeks, and repeated visits from your pest control pro can keep mosquitos out of your yard all season long. Fogging is a short-term fix that only works for about 72 hours and doesn't kill mosquito larvae or eggs. If you’re concerned about the environment, a natural mosquito repellant may be better than either fogging or spraying.

Some animals, such as bats or birds, will be able to get out of chimneys on their own since they can fly. Other animals, however, may have a harder time and will require the help of a professional to escape. Squirrels and raccoons in particular may become stuck inside a chimney, especially if you have a buildup of soot or creosote inside. This can prevent them from being able to climb out, in which case you’ll need to call an animal control expert to help remove them.
