"Saturday Dec 5th, ResDecon cleaned, sanitized and sterilized my entire house. They repaired several projects, installing ceiling fans, replacing door handles, wall removal in bathroom. They also cleaned and sanitized carpets and ductwork in my entire house. My vents are disinfected and smell like fresh air. I am now comfortable with having my older family members over for a visit. ResDecon has given me PEACE OF MIND. Need it done, give Casey & Sam a call!!!"

Blind Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Blinds should be professionally cleaned at least once every six months. This ensures that any dirt, debris, and pet dander is entirely removed. If you have several pets or have severe allergies, it would be best to have them cleaned every two or three months.

The cost for professional blind or shade cleaning can range from $10 to $50 per blind. The final price depends on factors like the blind's material, size, and the specific cleaning method used. For example, cleaning aluminum Venetian blinds may cost between $10 and $34 per blind, while more complex roller blinds can range from $18 to $50. You may also encounter additional fees for cleaning supplies.

Insulating windows without plastic is usually the better method. Outside of simply replacing your windows, you could buy cellular shades, which trap air between the window and the home, add a window film that blocks UV rays and traps heat, or cover your windows with a low-emissivity coating called “low-E.”

Yes, they can reduce heat exchange by providing an extra layer between glass and interior. Choosing energy-efficient options can lower heating and cooling costs.

To maintain your blinds and shades, clean them regularly by dusting with a soft cloth or using a vacuum with a brush attachment. Spot-clean any stains or spills promptly with gentle cleaners. Be mindful of the material; for example, wood may require special cleaners, and you should avoid excessive moisture to prevent warping or discoloration. It is also important to inspect the operating mechanisms for wear, address any issues promptly, and avoid forcing them to prevent damage.
