Well it rained for days so we rescheduled for this past Tuesday. Never showed up, I called, sent a text that if I had gotten the date wrong I was sorry. NEVER HEARD THE FIRST THING FROM HIM. No, fence posts aren’t always set in concrete. If you don’t want to use concrete footings for your posts, expanding foam is a popular alternative. Expanding foam and concrete each have certain pros and cons. For instance, foam is easier to install and more sustainable, but concrete is sturdier and less expensive.

The most idyllic building material that encapsulates the feel of Federal architecture is a brick facade, often with bricks alternating between long side and short side. In those cases, reinforcing your slab and sticking with 4 inches of thickness should provide plenty of strength.

Newly poured concrete is prone to small, fine cracks within the first 30 days of installation, but most noticeable cracks will disappear within that time frame. If a crack is greater than 1 inch, consider contacting the person who installed your wall to inspect the job.
