We were founded in 1955 and have stayed family owned. We serve commercial and residential clients alike. We are recommeded by the babtist foundation and are the oldest drapery company in the tri-county area. We offer free in-home estimates. That way you don't have to guess wheter or not a particular style or color will go well in your desired room. We are a small business with less than 5 employees so you get that personal attention that a large company can't offer. If you decide to go forward with an order we ask for 50% down and the remaining balance upon installation or delivery. We at McKinney Drapery ask that you let us turn your home or outdoor area into your very own palace.

CUSTOM UPHOLSTERY AND CUSTOM HEADBOARDS..CUSTOM OTTOMANS..DRAPERIES,AND BEDDING..TYPICALLY ANYTHING THAT INVOLVES HOME INTERIOR WITH FABRICS WE CAN HANDLE...

"I found Troy when I googled “Upholstery “. I called him and I immediately knew I had the right guy for the job. I sent him a pic of the sofa and chair and he texted back an estimate. He came that very afternoon and picked up the 2 pieces and then delivered them when finished for a very small fee, which made everything so much easier for me as it was a 200 mile round trip twice. Upon discussion, he determined which Sample Books to bring. He answered all my questions regarding the fabrics. He was professional and personable and the turn-around time was less than 3 weeks. I knew I had made the best and right decision by entrusting Troy with my sofa and chair. I highly recommend him. The finished product is beautiful and I’m very happy! Geri P"

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can reupholster antique furniture, and it’s a great way to extend the life of your pieces and keep them looking fresh and new for years to come. In fact, since reupholstering furniture is significantly more affordable than replacing it, reviving antique furniture can be a cost-effective way to keep that family heirloom usable for much longer. It’s usually a good idea to leave antique reupholstering to a professional, as they will have the tools and expertise to ensure the piece isn’t damaged and looks professionally finished.

The time to reupholster a chair varies by the type and the project’s complexity. Simple dining chairs may take a few hours, while larger or more intricate chairs like wingbacks can take several days. Most professional upholsterers complete the job within one to two weeks, including material sourcing and scheduling.

Paper moving pads, also called furniture wrapping paper or paper moving blankets, are sheets of recycled paper used to protect various items during moving. Similar to traditional moving blankets, paper pads are also reusable, making them a sustainable and cost-effective option for protecting your belongings during the moving process. Although they’re recycled, they still provide excellent protection against dust, dirt, and scratches.

If your usually super soft couch feels crusty and rough after cleaning, it could be that you haven’t removed the cleaning product properly, you used too much, or you applied the wrong type. Always check the couch tags to select the right cleaning product, read application instructions carefully, and test on an inconspicuous corner. For fabrics such as microfiber, you can soften and fluff crusty fibers using a soft-bristled brush.

Interior and exterior door openings are typically 80 inches high, with openings 29¼ inches wide for interior doors and 35 inches wide for exterior doors. If your couch is smaller than these measurements, it should fit through the door frame.
