"Creative Scape did a tremendous job. The gentleman who installed my brick pavers for a platform in the front and back of my deck did an excellent job. They also installed a drainage system from my front downspout to the back. They were very professional and very courteous. They also laid sod and transformed my yard into a beautiful area. I want to thank Ken from Creative Scape and the guy who did the work. A big thank you, and I will use them again."

"To hire Daniel and his company Catalina Land Management to clear about six acres in the middle of 13 acres on my property in DeFuniak Florida. They did an outstanding job and within a week I had five acre plot graded out smoothly with next to no extra roots left to pick up. Site was clean no trash or debris left behind. I wish I could say the same about the company that built the home. Will definitely work with them again if ever needed in the future"

"I very highly (the highest) recommend Easy Concrete Service. Mr. Mitchell (the owner) came out and gave a very fair estimate. He showed up when he said he was going to with his crew. He put down my concrete driveway with no delays and finished the job as he said. The driveway is great. He and his crew are very friendly, professional and I definitely recommend them and will use them again."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

There are several methods to hollow out a tree stump, and the best one depends on your tools, experience, and priorities. Common methods include using a chisel and hammer, a chainsaw, or burning.

  • Chisel and Hammer: This is often considered the easiest approach for those with limited tools or experience, though it is the most time-consuming.

  • Chainsaw: Using a chainsaw is the fastest method, but it comes with significant safety risks, especially for inexperienced users.

  • Burning: This can be an effective method, but it is not recommended unless you can first drill holes into the stump. Without holes, the stump will be difficult to light and may not burn completely through.

A power drill with at least a ⅜-inch diameter bit can make the job quicker and easier, regardless of the primary method. While you can use a chisel or chainsaw without a drill, it will require more time and effort. Always wear protective goggles and thick gloves, as splinters are an inevitable risk.

Drilled wells have a pipe sticking up that’s covered in a plastic or metal casing. On the other hand, a dug well will look like a big hole in the ground and is more similar to what you’d see in a fantasy or Western movie. If you want to be sure, contact the city for documentation on your property’s construction and excavation history.

Yes, chipmunk holes may have two or more entrances. Chipmunks can create an entire network of burrows. Having multiple entrances makes it easier for them when trying to escape from a predator, such as a snake, or if an entrance collapses due to flooding. Each entrance leads to the nesting chamber underground, which is where the chipmunk spends the majority of its time sleeping.

Water lines are buried at various depths, depending on the type of line. For example, most sprinkler lines are buried between four and 12 inches underground. On the other hand, water mains usually sit between one and 3 feet below ground. However, they can go even deeper in cold climates to prevent freezing.

Hardscaping often requires preparation of the ground in the area where the feature is being installed. This can include digging, compacting, and leveling the soil, ensuring adequate drainage, and removing any existing plants. The extent of preparation needed will depend on the type and size of the hardscaping feature being installed.
