"Brian Wall was very efficient. He showed up when he said he would. He was professional and made the entire project go so well. He made sure his guys were doing their work correctly. They handled my furniture very carefully showing he has much respect for his customer. They cleaned up after finishing the project. I definitely recommend him as a floor installer."

"Mendez and team did a phenomenal job removing the different outdated flooring and installing LVP flooring that I had purchased. The team did such a great job that when I remove the carpet in the rest of the home, they’ll be the team that I hire to do so. The first photo is what it looked like and the second is the installed LVP flooring"

"I did not have a very good experience with Jones home improvements. Ryan was never on time, he did not keep in contact with me to let me know when he was coming back to finish the job he started, he did a small plumbing job for me that was good but, he came back to repair the floor and replace it and it took more hours that he quoted it would take. He had to return to finish the job because he forgot to pick up finish molding. I had to call him to get a date locked in for him to complete the job. He is a nice enough guy, but really is not a professional carpenter and does not possess finish carpentry skills. I do feel I was overcharged because of his lack of knowledge and his inability to complete the job in a timely manner. I would not recommend him to anyone."

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

When choosing a land surveyor in Mobile, confirm they are licensed by the Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Look for experience with local flood zones, coastal properties, and Mobile's unique soil conditions. Ask for recent client references and proof of liability insurance. It's also wise to verify their familiarity with Mobile County Planning Commission requirements and recent property survey regulations.

Helpful?

Land surveying in Mobile typically takes 10 to 21 days, depending on property size, terrain, and complexity. Factors like inclement weather, especially during hurricane season, or properties in flood-prone areas can extend this timeline. To avoid delays, schedule surveys outside peak storm months and ensure all property documents are ready. Consult your surveyor for updates based on Mobile's seasonal conditions.

Helpful?

In Mobile, unexpected land surveying costs can include fees for resolving boundary disputes, replacing missing property markers, or conducting additional research on complex land titles. Surveys in flood zones or coastal areas may require specialized floodplain or wetland assessments, which add to the cost. Rush requests, hurricane damage evaluations, and compliance with Mobile County Planning Commission standards can also increase your final bill.

Helpful?

In Mobile, most standard property surveys do not require a city permit. However, surveys involving public right-of-way access may need a right-of-way permit from the city. Subdivision or lot-splitting projects require approval from the Mobile County Planning Commission. If you're applying for a building permit, the city often requests a current boundary survey as part of your application, according to local permitting authorities.

Helpful?

After a land survey in Mobile, keep all survey documents and maps in a secure place. Regularly inspect boundary markers, especially after major storms or hurricanes, and promptly replace any that are damaged or missing. For waterfront properties, monitor for coastal erosion annually. Clearing vegetation from property lines and consulting a licensed surveyor if you notice changes helps maintain accurate boundaries, as recommended by the Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
