"Joe Heater and his assistance, Josh, did a very professional job replace my tub with a walk in shower. The shower is beautiful and looks very professional installed. Joe and Josh were both very polite, did not goof off, worked very hard for two days. My shower was larger than the average is the reason it took two days. They kept everything cleaned up as they went, no mess left behind. I highly recommend this company!!!"

"They placed cloths throughout the house each day they worked to protect our floors. They removed and replaced everything in our bathroom with expertise. This includes our bathroom floor, vanity/sink, removing tub and installing a complete show with glass doors. They also painted and installed a light/fan combo above our shower. We love everything!"

"Dreamland Restoration recently completed a kitchen and bathroom remodel project for my home and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the team at Dreamland Restoration provided exceptional service and attention to detail. The manager, was knowledgeable, responsive, and always available to answer any questions or concerns that I had. He took the time to understand my needs and preferences and provided valuable input and suggestions throughout the design process. The entire team was professional, courteous, and respectful of my home. They worked efficiently and diligently to complete the project on time and within budget. I was impressed by their skill and expertise, as well as their commitment to quality craftsmanship. The finished products - my new kitchen and bathroom - are absolutely stunning. The design is functional and modern, and the quality of the materials and workmanship is outstanding. I am thrilled with the final result and would highly recommend Dreamland Restoration to anyone in need of a kitchen or bathroom remodel. "JD did a great job for me.  He arrived when he said he would which was within a couple of hours from when I called.  He gave me a fair price, completed the work quickly, and did a good job.  His first priority seemed to be to do quality work and make sure that I was satisfied.  I was satisfied and I will call him again when needed."

"I talked with several service people who do this kind of work.  Most would not take the job because it was too small of a job or they were uncomfortable with the slope of my roof and the height.  James came out and looked it over and returned the next day.  He did a great job.

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Whether converting a tub to a shower is worth it depends on your personal circumstances and priorities. For many, a shower is a safer option that reduces the risk of slip-and-fall accidents, making it a valuable upgrade. It can also be a worthwhile conversion if a shower is more practical for your lifestyle and you rarely use the tub. However, there are potential downsides to consider. The cost, which can range from $1,200 to $8,000, can be a deterrent. Additionally, if you have young children, a bathtub is often easier for bathing them. Finally, removing the only bathtub in a home can potentially lower its resale value in the eyes of some buyers.

When buying caulk, look for ones labeled for tub and tile. These have either acrylic latex or silicone compounds. This allows the caulk to stick to smooth surfaces and prevent mildew from forming.

Small bathroom renovation costs don’t have to break the bank. A $5,000 budget is realistic, provided you're not adding luxurious fittings or making complex layout changes. Changing the layout is the most costly aspect of renovating a bathroom. So if you keep the layout, do some of the job DIY (within your skillset), and use relatively affordable fixtures and accessories, you should be able to stay within your budget.

You can put a structure under your bathtub for support. Many modern tubs come with a built-in support structure underneath. Almost any type of mortar or floor-leveling compound is acceptable for new bathtubs that don’t include a support structure.

You can also install spray foam under an existing bathtub to eliminate or reduce squeaking or sagging. However, spray foam isn’t rigid enough for primary tub support.

An alcove tub is designed to fit into a three-walled enclosure in a bathroom. A drop-in tub, on the other hand, is placed into a custom-built frame or enclosure. This frame can be fitted to an alcove, making a drop-in tub a viable alternative if you want a more custom or spa-like look. Because the frame is custom, drop-in tubs offer more design flexibility and a wider range of materials, such as cultured marble or tile, compared to the simpler acrylic or fiberglass of a typical alcove tub. The frame for a drop-in tub can also be placed anywhere in the bathroom it fits, not just in an alcove.
