General Constructions services including framing, assembly, outdoor patios and decks, pergolas and gazebos, door installation, outlet altercations, finishing work, all wood work, stone siding and stone structure construction. Small shed construction, including basic flooring and window installation. For hire very affordable and price competitive but more emphasis on quality and completing the job to the homeowners satisfaction. "better than expected, after being referred to bo by a neighbor I was planning to purchase a kit and pay for assembly after looking on google for (Real Wood Pool iutdoor pergolas I found they were anywhere from &1000-$3000 and weren't assembled, you had to pay extra for assembly and extra for stain and sealant, that's when no suggested we design our own and construct it, he drew up an almost spot on visualization of what he built, let me pick put wood, stain and location, but above all be was very kind, even though I requested extra he never asked for more money, and on thrilled with what he built. me and my husband and I are already planning put next project-10/10 would recommend."

"When J. chandler and helper started setting up, they opened the trailer ramp and one cable to the ramp was not connected to the drum, making it a tripping hazard, they secured the cable under the ramp and continued to download the hopper. The wheels on the hopper appeared to have a bent axle as the wheels were on a 30 ~ 40 degree angle most likely to being subject to overweight condition in the past. They were having trouble putting the hopper into my garage as the 1 1/2 inch step was too much for the hopper to overcome. I gave them 2 plastic angle blocks to be able to navigate the step with their hopper. They commenced working and shortly after they started J. Chandler was in the attic and the helper asked me if I had a stick for him to break up the insulation so the hopper could blow it into the attic. I gave him a walking stick so he could complete his task. They were definitely not prepared to professionally complete the task. When they finished and told me they could not access the attic. I couldn’t believe he didn’t advise me of that condition 10 days earlier when he gave me the quote. I discussed this with the previous home owner and she provided me a statement of work from 6/26/2017 reflecting R38 blanket and batt insulation, 14 3/4 inches thick was installed. I perceive I have been ripped off!"

Excluding carpet, strand-woven bamboo provides excellent underfoot heat. Laminate flooring is also good for insulation and preventing cold feet in the winter. Bamboo tends to work better in climates that have more consistent temperatures, while laminate does a better job at insulating floors in homes that experience more extreme temperature changes, such as the deciduous climates of the northeastern U.S.

Spreading tin foil over your windows works similarly to radiant barrier insulation, but not as well. It will reflect some of the sunlight that would otherwise come through the glass and warm up the inside of your home, so it might help a little to keep your home cool in the summer. Meanwhile, fiberglass wraps are cheaper but more hazardous and difficult to handle. If you do choose to use a fiberglass wrap, make sure you are wearing long sleeves and wear proper protective gear.

Whether you should remove old insulation before blowing in new insulation depends on your particular situation. Fiberglass insulation attracts insects and mold over time, so if it has been decades since your last insulation upgrade, consider removing the old materials before placing the new ones. However, most types resist mold, insects, and mildew, so once you get the go-ahead from your contractor that your space is free from all three, feel free to install the new insulation directly on top of the pre-existing materials.
