"I have been using Mr. Buggs for 3 years for pest control and have been very pleased. I was using another company for my yard, trugreen, and they were horrible. They basically killed my $10,000 lawn. I decided since the pest control was spot on, I would give the lawn service a try. I met with the gentleman and had a laundry list of concerns about my lawn. I waited patiently, because of all the rain, and sure enough he showed up in a timely manner and remembered everything I said and had a plan for it. It truly is great customer service with a feeling that you matter and are not just another dollar sign."

"I would highly recommend and suggest anyone needing rodent (wildlife, pest) to hire Sandman. I have been dealing with Turner. He is kind, professional, considerate, knowledgeable, and sensitive to customer needs. He has been treating our rodent infestation as if he were taking care of his own home. Additionally, I contacted the pest control company that I have been using for about 10 years, they told me they could not get to me for 4 weeks and the cost was in the thousands. Turner took ownership of my situation, was at my house the next day, and put a plan together to resolve my problem. Sandman cost was even more reasonable than I would have expected. I would highly recommend this company. FYI, I terminated the services of my prior pest control contractor and am using Sandman to take care of those services. I had spoken to about 6 contractors, Turner was, by far, most concerned about resolving my situation at a very reasonable fee. I am so thankful for Turner. The problem is about finished. We thank Turner for his services and dedication to customer satisfaction, sensitivity, and heart. I am happy to talk with anyone who might be interested in contacting me to confirm. I can be reached at 850-597-4461."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Brown recluse spiders are most active at night. As the name “recluse” suggests, they prefer the dark, which is when they hunt small insects and other spiders. Regarding the time of year, brown recluses are more likely to be seen during warmer months, typically between March and October.

Some of the plants listed above, like daffodils, are poisonous to many animals if eaten. But wild animals instinctively avoid them, for the most part. Household pets don’t always have the same survival instinct, which is why it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with common plants that pose a danger to cats and dogs.

Roaches won’t sting your pets and don’t have venom like spiders do , but they present other dangers. Cockroaches are notorious carriers of diseases like salmonella and parasites like tapeworms. Because they’re so dirty, their bites (otherwise harmless) can also get infected. You don’t want your pets chasing and trying to eat cockroaches, or sleeping near a roach infestation.

While the spotted lanternfly’s favorite place to stay is the trees and plants they gorge on, they can occasionally congregate in large numbers on buildings and other structures. This may be for height, warmth, or other unknown reasons. However, rest assured that the insects do not do any structural damage to the buildings, and will likely move on within a few weeks or perish with the colder weather.

You’ll find that phorid fly larvae breed in moist, decaying, organic matter. When trying to locate a breeding site, thoroughly inspect the following places in your home: drain pipes, trash cans, garbage disposal, pet waste, rotting produce, plants, compost bins, and even under appliances like the stove and refrigerator where moist food may have dropped. It’s also possible for a breeding site to form inside of a wall, crawl space, or under your home’s foundation.
