"Curtis and crew of Ray of Hope lawn care company was hired to clear vacant property, prune over grown shrubs, clean up beds and lawn of fallen limbs, and remove dead plants. All their work was professionally accomplished. They were punctual and friendly. Very easy to work with. I highly recommend Ray of Hope Lawn care Service!"

"The first time we used this company it was because my Dad had just had a procedure done on his head and wasn't able to cut his own yard. Matthew actually offered to cut it for free (which we could not NOT pay him after he did such an amazing job). He said "everyone needs help every now and then". The fact that he was willing to do such a selfless act of kindness for my Dad speaks volumes to his character. On top of that, the lawn care he offers is immaculate. The yard looks great for a week or longer after cutting."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Embarking on a kitchen demolition comes with its share of risks to keep in mind. Think of potential encounters with asbestos, sharp objects, and power tools—not to mention the peril of structures wobbling or unexpected plumbing surprises. And, of course, you will be surrounded by dust and debris throughout the process. All of the above makes safety gear necessary, or you can consider hiring a qualified professional.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Disposing of old paint, bleach, oil, and fertilizer should be handled by a company that specializes in this kind of waste. Many private junk removal companies do not dispose of these items. Because these materials are hazardous to the environment and dangerous to handle or dispose of improperly, you should confirm with your local municipality about places to take hazardous materials for safe disposal.

Household products such as paints, cleaners, oils, and batteries are considered hazardous and should not be disposed of with regular household waste. Instead, look for local household hazardous waste collection facilities where you can safely dispose of these items without harming the environment or human health.

Follow recommendations for removal or remediation to ensure a safe living environment.
