"Scottie re-screened my porch and attached them with pvc trim that is permanent and makes it much easier to replace individual screen sections in the future. Beautiful job, reasonable price and completed the job in 1 day. He even brought his chain saw and cut some small trees that were too close to the porch at no additional cost. He also pointed out that my deck needed repairs for stability and safety. I am waiting on his estimate and certain that I will hire him for that job as well. I highly recommend him as a carpentry contractor."

"Chris was punctual, professional, and very helpful explaining what needed to be done to repair my roof. I originally called him to patch an area that squirrels had been using to get into my attic. He fixed that issue, installed a missing copper flashing that required cutting into my bricks, and patched another area where the mortar between bricks had eroded away. His price was only slightly higher than other quotes I received that only contemplated fixing the squirrel issue. Great value, got the job done quickly, and he called back to make sure we were pleased. We are. Highly recommend Chris and his team. B. Lucas"

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

Fascia and soffits differ in their location and design, but fascia vents are the most popular alternative to soffits. These are a bit more hidden than soffits, but depending on the structure of your roof, they can cost more to install and maintain. They are also installed around the entire roof, whereas soffits can be placed only where you need them or, if the aesthetics bother you, somewhere out of sight.

Common materials include wood, vinyl, and metal. Wood offers a classic look, while vinyl and metal are low-maintenance options.

Using concrete footers is the best way to secure a gazebo on a deck without drilling. The weight of the footers is more likely to hold your gazebo in place than other methods. You can also pour concrete into flower pots to create an aesthetically pleasing concrete footer or use concrete columns to make a statement.

Yes, many gazebos are permanent structures built onto the land. However, if you have a portable gazebo that isn’t secured to the ground, you’ll want to check the manufacturer’s instructions to understand when to put it away. Generally speaking, when it’s particularly windy or wet outside, you should take down your temporary gazebo.

The main purpose of a gazebo is to provide a covered space for people to gather comfortably. They’re an excellent place for summertime get-togethers because the roof protects you and your guests from the sun. However, gazebos can also serve as a design feature, adding a bit of charm to a backyard or garden.
