"I Alex Binkley want to retract both of my earlier reviews about Countertops and Cabinets! I have Bipolar Issues and other medical conditions. I can't be a good Christian or a Man just because I have no patience and I have mood swings. You can't hold Countertops and Cabinets responsible for my health issues; this is a Family run Company and I would never want to hurt anyone's livelihood. They did an amazing job overall and are willing to put in my back splash at no cost to me! They were awesome folks to work with! I highly recommend them!"

Small jobs welcome

Hi, I’m Austin, owner of Timeless Touches Cabinetry. We specialize in custom cabinetry, built-ins, laundry rooms, mudrooms, entertainment centers, and storage solutions designed specifically for your home and space.\n\nI take a detail-oriented approach to every project, from the initial measurements and design through fabrication and installation. My goal is to provide homeowners with a more personal and flexible experience than mass-produced cabinetry, with thoughtful designs, quality materials, and clear communication throughout the process.\n\nWhether you're looking to replace builder-grade shelving with functional cabinetry, add custom built-ins, or make better use of an underutilized space, I'd be happy to discuss your project and help develop a solution that fits your needs and style.

"Jonathan Houston is by far the best subcontractor I have ever dealt with when it comes to counters, and stone work in general. I have never had an issue with him or his crew when is comes to their cleanliness, punctuality, or professionalism. His prices are always reasonable and I can count on him to be fair which is very hard to come by in this day and time with all of the big businesses out there looking to only profit as much as possible. From a contracting standpoint, if you are not using Rock Solid Marble and Granite I highly suggest you look and reach out to Jonathan because I can guarantee the granite company you are using right now can not possibly place into their work the same amount of attention to detail and care into the fabrication of your counters, fireplaces, or any of your stone desires. Your customers will most definitely thank you for having him as a part of your team to complete your projects."

"Overall excellent. Workmanship was outstanding. Price was excellent. Project did take longer than Terry estimated and a few times he was slow to return calls, but I think it was a function of how busy he is! He is very personable and easy to work with. I HIGHLY recommend this contractor."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

The best way to save money on countertop installation is to choose an affordable material. For example, if you have a busy kitchen and need durability, choose a more affordable but lasting material like granite countertops. Likewise, if you don't use your countertops often, you can use a softer material that costs less than more sturdy ones.

Another way to cut costs is to remove and dispose of the existing countertops yourself, if possible. That way, countertop installers can get straight to placing the new feature, reducing labor costs.

Any surface, including a waterfall countertop, can last decades based on a few things. First is the chosen material. For instance, quartz and granite are more durable and long-lasting than marble or concrete. Proper care also plays a key role. Regular cleaning and sealing, if required, will help any counter resist stains and damage over time.

Epoxy is typically more affordable than granite, especially if you’re choosing a high-end slab. Most granite countertops cost $75 to $145 per square foot to install, with high-end varieties topping $185 per square foot.

In contrast, epoxy countertops cost $50 to $150 per square foot to install. The material costs for epoxy are significantly lower than granite, but installation costs can be higher. Rather than simply cutting granite countertops to size before installation, your contractor will need to carefully pour the epoxy over an existing surface.

Most recycled glass countertops are nonporous, so they don’t require sealant. There is, however, one major exception. If your recycled glass countertop contains a cement binder, it’ll require an additional layer of protection. Seal these countertops once or twice a year. Use a concrete sealant and finish it with a food-safe wax for a gorgeous and shiny finish. Otherwise, just clean the countertop regularly and always use a cutting board.

The average countertop square footage in a kitchen is 30 square feet, but that number varies widely depending on the size of the kitchen. Some smaller kitchens may only have one stretch of countertop or an L-shape. Larger kitchens can include an island or peninsula and more expansive countertops. When deciding what works best for your home, measure your kitchen countertop and make sure to include countertop cost calculations in your budget.
